Can’t find the Ardent Temple

I’m in the Eastern Wind zone.

I have the Purge Hall and I don’t know if I got that instead of the Ardent Temple. Their exteriors look the same.

Also, there is a portal to a dungeon that is above a hole in a floor. I can’t get up the hole so I don’t know what dungeon it is.

Can I complete the main quest without the Ardent Temple?

You can. That hole is probably the exit hole for one of the bosses. You just need to figure out where you need to go next and it should be a random midboss dungeon. (Or the boss dungeon)

purge hall is an event and doesn't replace ardent temple, which is a pass through dungeon. however, that's no guarantee that you'll have the latter in this randomly generated world.

clear the dungeon south of your middle checkpoint - monolith or wasteland merchant (dungeon symbols change depending on if you've entered them already or not https://imgur.com/a/4Yf8wry ), that'll take you to scouring wastes.

from there, you can either go north and then west to progress the campaign, or go all the way east for another pass through and event dungeon + the other middle checkpoint, from where you'll be able to progress as usual.
