Beat the dreamer, now what?
hi there,
just curious i've beaten the dreamer. i see that i can either reset my campaign or go onto adventure. And honestly i don't really understand what it mean.
reset my campaign first, will i just replay some area but in a different order (and maybe do different choices) while keeping my stuff, or do my character also reset?
Now adventure, does it generate level again and again as long as i progress, or is there a different en goal?
i was expecting some good ol NG+ system honestly, so it kinda confuse me

Rerolling areas has the opportunity to take you to new events with different bosses to fight and gear to find. I strongly advise looking up Remnant from the Ashes World Analyzer to help you, if you're interested in continuing to play.

Your character will persist through rerolls and Adventure mode. But will reset when you choose to either play Survival or start over in Hardcore mode.

As Paranoia already said, your char is persistant.

Rerolling a campain lets you play through the story again. As the game has different events and bosses/mini bosses you can get different items and gear, get the alternative items from bosskills and so on.
If you dont want to play through the entire story again to get a specific item or mod, you can play Adventure mode. Its basicly only the one world you chose as your adventure. You play through it and farm for materials or items that you are looking for.
If you liked the game, and dont mind playing it again with the mercy of RNGsus, reroll your campain.
If you want some specific item/mod, you are better of farming adventure, you dont want to play through the entire game if you are looking for an item on Yashea.

Whatever you want, it is both basicly a NG+. One with the entire campain, the other with only one world.

ok thanks to both of you, i will simply reset my campaign then, i prefer to have the full campaign with new path, and i don't mind not getting everything

As a whole rerollling campaigns is better. You can get stuff you cannot obtain normally. Adventure is more or less if you want a specific something from a certain area.
Even if you do run into same bosses, the world bosses generally have a different reward depending how you fight them, so you can use those.

just saying dude, there is no need to reset campain, make no sense to do that

for things u want / need is the adventure mode, that s what u realy need, campain mode is just for the story, adventure mode for the special events and items u need

if u want another story then u need the swamp of corsus dlc and / or the ice dlc :WorldStone:

that is not correct. If you want the turret-mod it is better to reroll the campain, adventure mode is too short for high chance to get what you need for that.

then this question "Beat the dreamer, now what?" is wrong here, your answer is closing the game and say bye, there s nothing else to do if u dont want to do random events and stuff like that, u can buy the dlc s then u get more story but this game dont aim for story stuff, enjoy

my question was clear, what were the difference between resetting a campaign and adventure, and more or less what is ng+ , i don't see myself planning my way ahead to grab 100% of the items to get a super meta build and play in hardcore nightmare mode. I do enjoy it, and wanted to understand what were my option going forward.

Heya, glad to see new people enjoying this awesome game.

After beating the main Campaign, rerolling the campaign would be your best option to get the most out of the structured content you have available to you. There are more areas and more interesting progression in the campaign.

I'm not sure what unlocks for free or what is paid content, but can you create a Hardcore characer? Hardcore is pretty fair on Normal and you unlock powerful account-wide trinkets.

That said, the Swamps of Corsus DLC provides Corsus Adventure, which is the next piece of story content after the From the Ashes campaign, and Monolith events which make Adventure runs on all worlds more robust in general.

The Subject 2923 Campaign is more of a sequel, really. The storyline is cool and the final boss has multiple bullet-hell phases if that seems fun!

Don't listen to anyone who tells you how you should play this game; I didn't.
My first playthrough I rerolled the campaign right after beating Earth. I did this 10 times before moving on to Rohm. Wanted to be able to upgrade any new gear right away and max my Dragon Heart. This was back when the DLCs didn't exist and mix-matching armors was actually good!
I have everything possible to get in the game (non-multiplayer) and I have never played a difficulty above Hard because I don't find it fun.
