Dreamer and Nightmare

So if i'm not missing anything here i'm done and quit at the last boss.

So the game wants me to go in this shadow realm to kill enmies so my damage stacks.
You take damage in this area all the time.
Every time you go back the boss resets your damage multiplier.

So let me get this straight. I'm on hard and solo. I have 7 heals. Even if i'm able to take no hits and to collect enough ammo everytime in the shadow area, there is no chance i have enough healing stacked to survive log enough to collect enough damage output from the mob kills. Its technically not possible, or what am i'm missing here?

And that given the fact i would take no damage but the mobs in the shadow area can easily oneshot you when you already damaged from the vile air or whatever cause you taken damage.

I'm not even angry or so its just preposterous, what does that even have to do with skill?
A super tedious long fight with almost no damage on the boss? Even with infinite heals it would be a pain in the as*.

So if there is any advice i'm willing to take it, maybe there is a gimmick i'm missing. But there is no chance i'm grinding for this boss. My main weapon is the hunting rilfe 18 +. I need 2 more hardened iron for the next upgrade but i dont even think that makes a difference.

just checked a vid. He takes much damage when he do his move when he erase your multipliers. Mitght try it again tomorrow.

No in the vid the butterfly is exposing the body of the dreamer after every cycle.
In my fight he isnt?!

Hay there .
So the main concept on the dreamer is

If you get soacked into the nightmare try to kill as much enemies as you can (you can take heal skill + potions to heal against the damage over time) .
You can alrdy go out after 6-8 kills and deal as much damage possible on his corpus or breast. If you deal enough he will open and you can hardcore hit him down.

If you need help with equip etc let me know (your hunting rifle is fine maybe rings etc are upgradeable).

so not sure if someone said this but the main objective is in the "shadow realm" kill 8-10 enemies and leave. id use any weapon with the healing circle mod and the hot shot mod. the healing circle really helps with surviving for longer. for my fight i used the repeater pistol with hot shot and shotgun with healing aura.

I mostly got 5 or maybe 6 kills. Its hard to get more. There is nowhere to hide like in other boss fights and the mobs can spawn at all sides and deal massive damage 😅

Kill a few enemies, use a weapon or mod that can hit him several times to enter a critical state. Then hit him with your strongest weapon, he is honestly the easiest final boss. Guess some people don’t want to learn new mechanics.

I just didnt saw any real damage. Also it was late already. I'll try him again later. 😅

I'm no fan of gimmick fights anyway.

Thx for all comments. Killed him 3th try today.

Using the gun with the healing mod did the trick in the shadow realm.

I had the radiation gun equipped because i saw someone in a vid dealing massive damage with it but that was a mistake.

If you do it "the right way" the boss is actually easy, yes.
Could have thought of that myself but i really thought that the damage you deal is
actually the damage you are supposed to deal all the time XD

Overall it was a nice game. Had no big trouble except of one boss and that was actually my favorite.
