What do the bosses drop
People raving about loot but I've had little from bosses, scrap and a ring but no weapons and I've defeated several now. Stuck on that damn dragon though 😑

I've defeated the bosses with another player(s)
Is the loot replicated equally between both or whom ever picks it up gets it?
Am I just having bad luck with loot? I just don't seem to be getting the qualities or qualities other players are talking about.
As an example, I saw another player in an armour set that looked like it was made of bones, the most I've found was a crown of thorns and a wanderer helmet.

I guess I'm really struggling to understand this game. Like which direction I should be heading on the maps, is there a highlighted point I should head towards to find the boss that I'm not seeing.

I'm very much looking forward to VoIP being implemented because players I join will be able to help me understand where I'm going wrong with this.

It's not a looter shooter; you get materials from bosses, you can craft these into traits and sometimes weapons, depending on the type of material you got from said boss.

It's all replicated, if someone picks up a ring in the area and you're not nearby, you get the same ring into your inventory and see the pop up of picking it up. The boss materials is also given to each and every person that is in said game.

Regarding directions, it's randomly generated for each person along with the type of bosses in said areas appearing.

there are some special ways to kill boss to get a other weapon, the dragon, cut his tail off, or the ent boss, break his knee´s , and so on

The bosses only drop materials that are used for crafting. You need to find armor sets or weapons in the world. Since the world is procedually generated (to an extend), you find different stuff than someone else, for example.

Some are hidden behind puzzles or breakable walls, some are hidden behind dialogue, etc. It's not a looter shooter, there isn't a x amount of % chance that mobs or a boss will drop armor, they won't.

You should not skip tutorial next time... Go visit that grumpy engineer girl in Ward 13. Also check every vendor you encounter

Ive only had scrap from bosses nothing ive had seems rare.

I played the tutorial it was painfully voice acted lol. I know where the engineer is so im guessing its the build tab under her menu to craft from boss material drops

How do i tell which direction to head on the map though is what i mean?

Bosses drop items aside from scrap. I'm pretty sure it's impossible to get only scrap from an actual boss, unless it wasn't an actual boss.

And you don't, there's no map indicator of where you have to go, you explore and find the way. But most is pretty linear so it's not tough.

Every actual boss will drop a unique item that you only get once. They're used to either craft weapon mods or weapons with specific mods on them. If you've already acquired the item you'll get scrap instead of the material.

As someone else mentioned There are some bosses which have special conditions that you can meet to get a different item material, so you'll have to do them another time and complete that condition.

You can't tell which direction to go on the map is randomly generated when you start your campaign and you need to explore it to find side dungeons and the way to go.

Take the stuff you get from bosses to the mechanic lady. She'll hook you up.

do I have to break both knee?
I break one knee in my run and it didnt give me the second reward...

I think completing a boss with the alternate kill method only rewards you the alternate boss material, and not both the original and alternate. so either way youd have to fight the boss twice :\ learned this while trying to get my friend the smolder sword on his first play through. he wasn't able to get the spitfire because of it.

you just need to go check macabe (grumpy mechanic girl) after you beat any bosses to see what craftable mods/equipment become available to you. Bosses don't drop them, but the materials to make them through her. and if you already have the boss's item you will be rewards scrap instead of the material.

Is that unless you kill them with the alternate kill way?
Also how do i find out about alternate kills on bosses, is the a guide detailing these?
