What's up with Shroud?
He's my first Fog Door boss, and this seems like an insanely high difficulty jump from everything else I've done. Between the insant bleed, the explosions, and the non stop adds, I have no idea what I'm supposed to do here. Help?

Go for the head, use long Range- move constantly- if you hear his scream start rolling. From time to time headshot the enemys if you are on the Top floor Run around there if you turn they mostly lined up so you get easy headshots.

That's been my strategy, but I keep failing. Closest I got was taking 2 ticks of his HP off. The adds are by far the biggest issue here.

Question. Are the adds infinite?

Try co oping with someone he is much better with a duo or tria

Shroud is a sewer boss, and can be noticed if you find some very warhammer 40kish(skulls blood and weird spikes) shrines throughout the tunnel.
I got shroud on my 1st time. was able to 1shot the adds and as long as you have a easy to hide/duck spot, shroud is easy to dodge the arrows. There is also the fact that shroud holds still for about 3-4 seconds which can lead to several headshots. Unless it is doing the arrow from the sky move then just make sure you are moving since that was so far the most dangerous attack.

It's not too hard. I encountered him for the first time yesterday when I rerolled to a new (hard) campaign. He had the "Enchanter" mod.

Once you hear that high-pitched scraping sound, just start running and don't stop until the explosions finish, then resume. It's a mechanic to stop you camping a specific area which he'll cast every 20-30 seconds or so. Most of the adds won't be able to do much while you kite them except throw daggers, so don't worry about them too much.

I basically killed the boss with nowt but a Hunting Pistol. It does good headshot damage (can interrupt his charge attack) and typically one-shots the root adds, so just run and gun while looking for an opening + avoid the explosions, collect your loot and be on your way.

Shroud's easily the hardest boss in the game, despite it being the very first boss you encounter.
The only thing I can recommend is sitting in one of the bunkers to the right and left of where you enter until he comes to you.
If you try to seek him out yourself each time he teleports, then you'll be constantly ganked with the endlessly spawning enemies and you'll get shot around corners and blindspots.

This isn't even hard, it's just stupid. He does far too much damage for a first boss. Soo as I get hit once I'm basically ♥♥♥♥♥♥.

If you are fast, lucky, or have good enough aim you can shoot his projectiles right when he shoots and cause him to damage himself. Also, enemies can friendly fire each other so if you line them up you can get the boss and the other roots to hit each other. If you see him aim up just sprint in a clear direction to avoid the aim down attack that can stun lock you,

Sadly yes and might as well get used to it that seems to be their idea of difficulty pretty much ever boss in the game has non stop spawning adds.

Are they infinite, yes, are they non-stop, not all boss's
There are some where the adds are like every 15 seconds, a slow constant, only the boss brings them out or signals, or like the harrow or wolf, run away to bring the adds in.
But yeah, without the adds, the boss's would be holy crap much easier since they themselves are not that hard when your used to them.

>use long range

Why does every single ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game I play punish me for picking a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ close range weapon

Its like Dark Souls just curb stomping people first boss. It took my group of buds 6 tries to get it right. Always move and pop shots at him, when he launches the air barrage, run and dodge the adds. Only kill the adds when you need ammo and focus fire on him while moving from his attacks.

It doesn't, you just need to know when to dodge. You have an opening to hit him while he's charging his arrows, dodge his arrows and after that he has an opening you can attack too. You just need to keep moving.

I'm awful and beat him by pulling him into a corner room and dodge/meleeing with my scrapper. Run like hell when he screams then rinse/repeat.
