Class Choice Doesn't Matter
When I picked 'Scrapper' I figured there would be some sort of ability or passive that made it stand out from the other two classes. Well...there is not. Your starting weapons and starting armor are different but that's about it.

Was really hoping for dedicated ability choices (mods) for each class. A super if you will that activates separately from your gun mods, specific to your class. For example a couple good choices for 'Scrapper' could be Mantle of Thorns, the AoE that has team damage reduction, etc..

At the moment the classes feel so homogenized and it appears my class choice really meant nothing in the end.

They are not classes, they are starting archetypes, like in Souls games. The game is not homogenized just because doesn't fit your subjectve standpoint.

The game is modeled after the "soulsborne" model. Its the same as those games, its simply a starting point and you can get everything the other classes have eventually through gameplay.

Well each "class" start with another trait. Scraper gets mele bonus, hunter less detection from enemy and cultist bonus mod power on hit.

Meant to say *classes, not *game, fixed. My point still stands. Why even have a choice of archetype if I can be any of the others at some point down the road?
(I'm not new to the souls franchise)
This game is more meant for co-op than solo play. DS is just the opposite, it's meant to be solo play but people can co-op.

If co-op is a focus then classes should mean something.

excuse me bat wat the fack, brah there just archetypes, thids has been stated many times before the game came out

The archetypes are there to let you have a starting build that fits your play style from the beginning, instead of struggling with unfamiliar gear and (lack of) traits while getting the stuff you need to be effective.
