Sorry, but this game deserves a bad review

Cmon, most bosses are bullet sponges with infinite adds.... the lack of variety is disturbing. For a low budget game, they could at least invest in innovative mechanics, not this cheap "difficulty in numbers" thing.

understandable but i think the reason a lot have spawns is because if you kill them they drop ammo and scrap

This is the impression I got. Not necessarily to increase difficulty as a way to continue to supply ammo to use.

people need to stop bashing the game and just GTFO. yes you didnt enjoy the gam it didnt meet YOU'RE standards but stop trying to get people not to buy it

Dont get me wrong. I absolutely love the game and truly enjoy it and plan on leaving a good review when it comes time for it.

It's a bit hit and miss. Some bosses do it well, like the Ent and those twin bosses in the desert, they don't spawn constantly, just sporadically, while not too many to overwhelm you.

It becomes terrible with a boss like Shroud, though.

i mean we have ammo that we can carry but then the boss fight would be even easier and kind not challanging

Boss Fights are always a battle of attrition. Some boss fights may not have adds in other games, but putting for enemies on the field forces you to change your tactics or adapt. You think there is a lack of variety? No more lack than oh lets say Destiny, Borderlands, and plenty of other shooters, some of them of the looter variety. Hell, Dark Souls 3 also has a fight where you fight a giant tree that spawns plenty of Adds, some of which do throw things at you as well.

I'm not going to tell you to get good, but rather, reflect on what kinds or types of games you actually enjoy for the future. There is always the option of going co op to grind so you can go back to your game to defeat the boss yourself if that is your wish.

I mean, that's what reviews are for. People shouldn't blatantly lie in their reviews to try and praise the game as much as possible.

I agree with OP, the enemies are bullet sponges and literally EVERY boss has adds which is a bad excuse for extremely poorly designed boss fights and there's definitely very little variety.

But having that said, I am enjoying the game but it's probably not something I'll do a second playthrough of even though it is HEAVILY "inspired" by Dark Souls, it just doesn't seem to have its replayability.

Then again, I'd say it's worth $35 if you're into Souls-like games, and this one gets very close.

The tree doesn't spawn adds. They're just there at the start of the fight and you can clear them before the boss even does anything. After that he doesn't spawn anything.

I disagree. Boss fights in this game is probably the best among all shooter rpgs in my opinion. Even the mini bosses which are just a buffed version of ordinary enemies are good and provide enough challenge. 12 hours in and there isn't a single boss that I would describe as "boring".

im on the fence a little about that, i love the game iv recommended it to everyone but iv pretty much said to everyone "the games bosses always come with a side order of small fries"

it does become a little "oh ok again" after the 10th boss. well the flying thing...s dont have adds per say... well they kinda do kinda dont? ah cluck it everything has a side order of small fries.
