Should I buy this game or "Warhammer: Vermintide 2" for coop play with my brother?
I want to find a coop game to play with my other brother and I cant decide between this game and Warhammer: Vermintide 2. Which game is more fun for coop play and have longer longevity?

I think Vermintide 2 has more content / endgame then Remnant.

I know Vermintide 2 is a yead old but If I get Vermintide 2, I will only buy the base game for starter, so I just want to compare the base game of the 2 games only. I must admit I do like the dark fantasy monster theme of Remnant and the bosses look very cool

Vermintide 2 boring... And 4 people are needed for a comfortable game, there are few adequate people in the selection.

funny enough i bought this and my bro got Vermintide 2, content wise vermintide 2 got way more content.. but that has been released for a loong time now and this hasnt even released yet, watch some gameplays on youtube for both games and ask yourselfs which ones you think will be more fun for you.

I think you'll be happy with either choice. for this game, you and your brother will have separate campaigns, so if you do stuff in your brother's campaign, it won't progress yours (except for character level, traits, weapons, and armor), so I'd recommend this game if you want one you can also play on your own sometimes. If you'd rather have a game just for co-op, vermintide 2 is the way to go. Without DLCs, I'd say they have about the same amount of content.

Vermintide 2 is like half the price and has more content. Both games spam enemies and are fun combat wise. Difficulty in both is basically you take more damage and enemies do more damage and tank more. Both games have small variety in terms of weapons and items and traits. AI is smarter and less predictable in vermintide while remnant AI is a bit bleh.

Biggest difference is in price, replayability and game type. Despite what is believed this game is quite repetitive depending on ring treats you, regardless there is a lot of reused map layouts and enemies so you'll find both games are quite equal in replayability. It does come down to what type of game you'd prefer, both have some bugs and problems, story wise not so great and in both you just have the better weapons/items making a meta.

Also this is 3 player co-op with enemies scaled to equipment level and such, vermintide is set difficulty with 4 player co-op.

If you get Remnant play with the same 2 people at a pace or you'll get what I got, I got too far and joining friends would make it so they died and could do nothing as my equipment was way better.

Is Vermintine 2 coop gameplay doable with just 2 players, I would prefer to not have other players or AI controlled teammate in our game section

Are both game coop gameplay done with just 2 players (me and my bro) cause I dont want other players or AI joining our game

Remnant it'll be just you two and difficulty will be scaled to 2 players and your equipment, so as long as you play together and neither goes further ahead you won't meet a lot of problems. Vermintide is always 4 players, so with you and your brother you'd also have two bots alongside you, depending on what difficulty you pick and your own skill levels, you may or may not have a hard time, the bots are ok but not epic. Still both are solid co-op games, Vermintide has much better melee combat though, with range weapons being helpful but not the main focus. Remnant is heavy on guns and weapon mods, those will dictate your gameplay but both games basically have a meta sort of thing going. I find Vermintide more satisfying, maybe due to the AI.

Remnant is good fun but I've ran into some issues, be it cheaters or gamebreaking bugs that made me restart, I ended up refunding. Vermintide is fast paced just so you know, you don't want to linger around too long as enemies won't wait, Remnant you can take at your own pace sometimes but it also sometimes spams enemies at you. You might not have the same experiences as me, so take it all with a grain of salt, but some stuff I said are facts. If you like left 4 dead like games then I'd say go for Vermintide.

Vermintide 2 is trash since the last update. Not trolling, just check out the reviews from people with 100's & 1000's of hours in game time. Its pretty sad.

personally, a big fan of Vermintide II and i'll be getting the latest dlc soon. One thing to keep in mind with WHV2 is it's "competitive" nature. I dont mean that in terms of trying to outdo your team mates, more so people play at the highest difficulty (which gets pretty intense and an even higher one has just been introduced) to overcome the biggest challenge possible.

I haven't played much of remenant yet, but the story in vermintide 2 is very much "in the background".

vermintide 2 is great, has a lot of stuff and the combat is amazing. but its made for 4 players. remnant scales with the amount of players and is probably the better choice for just the two of you. both games are lots of fun in coop

yeah sad to hear about Ver2 is 4 players always. The reason I'm asking if it is possible to be played with 2 is that we are very casual and playing with people has given us bad experience (we played MOBA game like Dota2 and it was toxic and stressful)
