I know Vermintide 2 is a yead old but If I get Vermintide 2, I will only buy the base game for starter, so I just want to compare the base game of the 2 games only. I must admit I do like the dark fantasy monster theme of Remnant and the bosses look very cool
Biggest difference is in price, replayability and game type. Despite what is believed this game is quite repetitive depending on ring treats you, regardless there is a lot of reused map layouts and enemies so you'll find both games are quite equal in replayability. It does come down to what type of game you'd prefer, both have some bugs and problems, story wise not so great and in both you just have the better weapons/items making a meta.
Also this is 3 player co-op with enemies scaled to equipment level and such, vermintide is set difficulty with 4 player co-op.
If you get Remnant play with the same 2 people at a pace or you'll get what I got, I got too far and joining friends would make it so they died and could do nothing as my equipment was way better.
Is Vermintine 2 coop gameplay doable with just 2 players, I would prefer to not have other players or AI controlled teammate in our game section
Are both game coop gameplay done with just 2 players (me and my bro) cause I dont want other players or AI joining our game
Remnant is good fun but I've ran into some issues, be it cheaters or gamebreaking bugs that made me restart, I ended up refunding. Vermintide is fast paced just so you know, you don't want to linger around too long as enemies won't wait, Remnant you can take at your own pace sometimes but it also sometimes spams enemies at you. You might not have the same experiences as me, so take it all with a grain of salt, but some stuff I said are facts. If you like left 4 dead like games then I'd say go for Vermintide.
I haven't played much of remenant yet, but the story in vermintide 2 is very much "in the background".
yeah sad to hear about Ver2 is 4 players always. The reason I'm asking if it is possible to be played with 2 is that we are very casual and playing with people has given us bad experience (we played MOBA game like Dota2 and it was toxic and stressful)
