Group Size should be increased to 4
So far I love the game, I was a little disappointed it is limited to only 3 people per game. 4 Is always a great max group number I have found, 1 tank 2 dps and 1 healer/support ..

Agreed, 3 is a bit restrictive just in terms of normal group size. Most cooperative games I've played generally use 4, if this one had 4 I'd think it would people more options. And in PvE, having a plurality of options is always a good thing.

Nah trinity is fine and there are other games out there using them. (e.g. destiny)

More players would mean more spawns or more bullet-sponges. That´s what the maps and bosses are actually not made for. And it´s harder to balance, since everyone can use everything. So either the enemies are overbuffed and kind of boring (sponges) or you´ll run & gun everything down. (e.g. 4 players which use coordinately the heal mod.)

It could be even that the 4th players hasn´t really much to do and a lot of times more players = more players block each other (especially in friendly fire games).

They should leave it to 3.

The original plan was for 4 player coop, but midway in they found it 4 player balancing make enemies become a walking bullet sponge

As Nope said, they've went on record multiple times saying 4 players just didn't work. After adding more than 3 players the game scaled too hard. Three was just right.
