Way too many areas are recognizable from Darksiders 3

While the game itself is pretty decent/good, I can't help to get distracted once in a while when I recognize large chunks of maps straight from Darksiders 3, especially since I just finished that game in July.

The most noticeable example is the Cathedral, since it's a story related location in both games, but there are plenty more.

Hopefully the other worlds are more unique, and doesn't resemble Darksiders 3.

Every dev house reuse their assets to save time and money. Look at Assassin Creed, most assets from AC1 are still used to this day. Plus for Remnant maybe this game is in the same universe as Darksiders.

I noticed the art style, and a lot of the "Earth" environments were extremely similar. As you noted the cathedral was practically spot on from Darksiders 3. I'm not too annoyed by it, but they could have tried to be a bit more subtle. Then again maybe the games are in the same universe? Perhaps we are just playing from the humans perspective.

No hate to the game, I understand that you spend money on it and defend it because of that like many others do, but if you can't see that it's 1:1 the same building with almost the same assets then I don't know what is wrong with you.

If you can't see that it's not, I suggest you take a good hard look again. The overall shape might be similar for sure, but guess what? Most cathedrals have a tower. However, look at the fences, look at the shape. Look at the buildings in the background. The plants. Windows are different as well.

I think it looks similar because of the color pallette. That IS similar. But if you actually cannot spot any differences then idk what's wrong with you. It has nothing to do with having spent money or not, if a product is ♥♥♥♥, i'll trash it, regardless if I bought it or not. But it's clear OP very intentionally positioned themselves to make it seem more similar than it actually is.

They are definitely very similar and possibly recycled and modified assets. maybe not 1:1 but close enough to argue that assets are being reused. I don't find that such a bad thing though. I actually like seeing things like that occasionally cause it links me back to those games I first saw them in. If remnant was in the darksiders universe it would have been a really cool find.

I actually can't tell if this is satire or not. It's the same city several thousand years later lol. The plot is very clear about this in the game.
