LOL I love how dramatic the first response was. "Why would you even wanna do that in a RPG game as if anyone would in a RPG game?!". Instead he could of not being a butt about it and said "Hey man heads up you don't wanna do that in this kind of game".

I wondered the same thing myself. I guess it sort of works like a bottomless box. Sort of makes me rest easy knowing you can sell weapons and armor like that.
I mean.. the game clearly has an encumbrance... i mean are you people seriously swapping gear to get more scrap, then back to fight? that first set doesnt even have a 3rd piece.. nor does the doomsday so far. i know what stats i like so i dont want to carry a ton of crap, even if its an endless box. which so far.. based on weight limit. its not.

No you cannot sell armour or weapons. I know that some armour becomes useless in the late game, because you either don't have the resources to upgrade it or will never use it because you don't need its trait, but each armour is unique, and not something you would ultimately want to lose permanently.

The only things that are sellable are crafting resources and consumables.

The weight thing is about your equipped armor (like in Dark Souls), it mainly effects how good your dodge roll is (there's also accessories that can reduce armor encumbrance and, in one case, effectively remove it completely). Your unequipped gear has no impact on anything (unless you count some accessories that give you bonuses for having nothing equipped in certain slots, like the Daredevil Charm), same for consumables. You can carry literally every single equipment item and over a hundred of every consumable type in the game with no negative impact on your character.

Also, the first set (Adventurer) does have a third piece, but to get it, you need to either:
1. Craft it for Glowing Fragments (gotten from Survival Mode on any difficulty, or in Adventure mode on any difficulty other than Normal) at Rigs (the guy who upgrades your equipment).
2. Beat five bosses in Survival Mode on a single run.

That said, I've personally never felt like I've been hurting for scrap or upgrade materials badly enough to need the Adventurer set, so... *shrug*
The Hero's Sword (100 Glowing fragments or a 10 boss kill streak in Survival) is kinda cool though, since the energy wave seems to have a ridiculously long effective range. With some practice to learn how to aim it properly and an area with long sight lines, you can literally snipe enemies with it from so far away they don't even aggro from taking a full-damage hit.

Not sure what you're referring to by 'the doomsday', but if you mean the Drifter outfit, the headgear is a random spawn on Earth, if you do lots of Earth runs in Adventure mode you'll find it eventually, probably next to a skeleton on the streets or in a random building or something.

This too hard to you fanatic sockers understand?

The game is cool, and is very fun sometimes. But you just can't sell you items to have more upgrades ou better equippement?

I don't know who is worse: the game developer that just didn't care or forgot to insert this mechanic, or you dudes doing 720º kickflips to actually justify that is a intentional game mechanic.

Jez... the world is lost.
