Game feels like a not finished product.
The environment feels so empty and lifeless. It feels like there is no real animation in the game. As an atmosphere and character, enemy movement.

Character movement is like stick moving, enemy movement, general AI behavior, for instance they come to you while shooting at you with the "rifle" when they come in "melee range", they start to go away from you. When I see this kind of stuff, I immediately detach from the game. Mindless killing nothing more, game doesn't pull you in, doesn't make you believe in the world.

When I check reviews it seems like majority of people just want to kill lifeless stuff again and again while enemy charge you even with a rifle, people are not asking for a good AI to counter and actually feel like to achieve something.

Overall game feels like it is in a test phase, like alpha, beta.

And couple of people talking about the feedback they get when they attack an enemy. Where is that feedback ? I really can't see it. They die like a piece of paper. When they get hit they stop and realize they get hit, is that a feedback for you ?

How many of you really played a polish product before this game ?

The OP isn't totally wrong.

The game is lacking a lot, the ending was very much not okay and the game was fast paced. And as much as I appreciate different levels - they can feel empty.

This isn't a AAA title or anything so I think a lot of the quality is fine for what it is.

But don't s&&t on the guy because he's not 100% wrong (About the unfinished and empty world portion).

and a 7h guy means all what u say? im very sure he dont means the story or what ever, he speaks from the "look" how the game look and feel, and both is wrong i dont say the game is perfect i say what he write is not correct
so someone who didnt love the game wants to convince those who do enjoy it are "wrong" the op just can't let people be happy WHATTA GUY

Your head looks a bit "unfinished" there, George..

the game is actually way better than most if not all of the new games that came and are going to come to pc,it has few flaws and kind of feels unfinished at some places, not enough ambient sounds no day night cycle, but what can u do,devs do not really listen, they like to do their own stuff,i ve made a few feedbacks, suggested many good things that would make the game feel better,be a better product, they just ignore.especially with the new rat enemies and that giant human shown on the trailer,u can see clearly that they are running out of ideas but still they dont do the right thing for the game in some aspects with the simple explanation that they already put those models in game and blah blah.anyway the game is not completely perfect but almost perfect i could say.its faaaaaaaaar far better than most of the game out there (especially when u know that it is from the new era) i suggest u to play it and dont complain too much because thats the way it is,i do not like certain things about it too but no one would listen to me.Check the game called Anthem : ) sooo much potential but they just ruined the game with ♥♥♥♥ ass developement and laziness.Remnant is a good game overwall

Its an AA game, also play in hard / nightmare from the get go and you wont call it mindless shooter any longer

The problem is what the game is sold for rather, if the price started at 30-20 the expectations would not be so high, its an A / AA game being sold for an AAA price a year and a half after release.

You go from A to B while getting agro and killing the mobs on the way. Its a horde game without an actual tactic, strategy or any ability to effect gameplay.
There is no cover system, traits nothing but a lvl up button. I often forget to use weapon ability, a simple wallhack and I dont really care about it.
I'm glad you've found the game fun. But this is not a game for me that deserves the price tag and praise it got.

The traits are here as for a "passive boosts" but once you get the differents armor sets/ rings/amulet and the different weapons and weapon's abilities.
You can then create very differents builds wich can or not be effective (that also depend on your playstyle).

But yeah, tactic and strategy aren't really dependant on the gunplay itself but more so on the different builds you can create with each different elements the game offers you.

But then again, with 8h of gameplay i'm not sure you are yet at the level where you can get creative with mixing amorsets, rings, amulets, weapons and weapon's abilities to find fun and/or effective playstyle.

TL:DR : you just need to find more equipments in the game, then you can get creative to do any builds you want.

edit : as a tip, you might consider doing some "adventure" runs wich are short but may help you getting gear faster than doing a full "from the ashes" campaign.
