totaly wrong, i speak to all guys what are maybe new or what want to buy that, this "lifeless" "real animation" and other stuff is completely wrong, open your eyes look at some videos and you know it better - this guy have on my date of posting - 7h in this game so he dont know a lot about it... ask guys what know more about the game or read some top votet reviews
The game is lacking a lot, the ending was very much not okay and the game was fast paced. And as much as I appreciate different levels - they can feel empty.
This isn't a AAA title or anything so I think a lot of the quality is fine for what it is.
But don't s&&t on the guy because he's not 100% wrong (About the unfinished and empty world portion).
There is no cover system, traits nothing but a lvl up button. I often forget to use weapon ability, a simple wallhack and I dont really care about it.
I'm glad you've found the game fun. But this is not a game for me that deserves the price tag and praise it got.
The traits are here as for a "passive boosts" but once you get the differents armor sets/ rings/amulet and the different weapons and weapon's abilities.
You can then create very differents builds wich can or not be effective (that also depend on your playstyle).
But yeah, tactic and strategy aren't really dependant on the gunplay itself but more so on the different builds you can create with each different elements the game offers you.
But then again, with 8h of gameplay i'm not sure you are yet at the level where you can get creative with mixing amorsets, rings, amulets, weapons and weapon's abilities to find fun and/or effective playstyle.
TL:DR : you just need to find more equipments in the game, then you can get creative to do any builds you want.
edit : as a tip, you might consider doing some "adventure" runs wich are short but may help you getting gear faster than doing a full "from the ashes" campaign.
