The Undying King
Hey, I've reached to the Undying King, I read a bit about the choice rewards and I decided to refuse him, problem is: he's hard as hell, I have a feeling that taking the other choice is the 'right' one difficulty-wise.

What do you guys think?

Going by forum post I'd say that more people whine about Ixillis than the Undying King. And you can skip Corsus entirly if you kill him. You might not want to skip Corsus if you intend to keep playing after you beat the final boss, but that's another story and something you can deal with later.

The difficulty with the Undying King in your first campaign usually is the significant level difference between him and everyone else you faced before. You might want to play through an adventure or two and upgrade your gear to around level 10-12.

A lot of the difficulty i found with the undying king was not in him itself but rather the amount of threats, if your still having trouble with him go after all his ads before dealing with him because his attacks are ultimately very predictable and are only a pain to dodge when theres a bunch of nobodies firing lasers at you from multiple directions.

On your first playthrough, Undying King is likely to be the hardest possible fight. This is cause it scales it ridiculously high, to the point where he can 2-hit-kill you. The last character I took through fresh returned from Corsus to fight him with a gear score of 8, but I got absolutely smashed. I had to upgrade all my equipment to gear score 13 in order for the "versus zone" rating to be even. If you're having issues it might be because you're underlevelled - try upgrading, or if you don't have the equipment for it them farm your own campaign or join some public matches for a while.

burst him to death, with that i have killed him, i have use the normal 10 shoot rifle and have shoot one by one on the head with the berserc set

and there is no "right" choise u choose between the hell and the devil, one is a bug queen what looks nice and not bad, but if u look closer u understand its not better as the undying king, and the king? he want might and shield for his dead world, and he realy think u do what he want, both are not realy a angle if u know..

Depends on what gear you have and your play style. damage over time, using the walls as cover, knowing his movement and phases helps a lot.
The problem is that most people think this is like dark souls...wich is not, wearing heavy armor made the game much easier for me, dodging was not meant to be done while fighting minions and boss

Oh, forgot to mention that my gear score is 8 and I have 8 unused trait points to spend which I'm not sure what's best to spend them on, I already have 20 Elder Knowledge.
Also, should I replace my Repeater Pistol with the Defiler?

use the highest level gun , defiler does more damage but it depends what level it is as that influences skill power. put them in health
what skills are you using? hot shot and healing among the favourites here....probably you only have 3-4 hearts?

I'm using Beam Rifle +10, my defiler is +2, my Repeater Pistol is +10.
The skills I'm using are Mender's Aura and Rattle Weed/Hot Shot (sometimes this and sometimes that), I also have Veil of the Black Tear which I thought maybe could be useful in this fight since it's a bullet hell.
And I have 4 hearts.

It's been mentioned already, but Undying King's difficulty largely comes from the other stuff going on in the room, and not him himself. If you keep him at distance, he'll pretty much do nothing but slow walk like a chad towards you. Keep moving away, use the pillars to break line of sight with the Vyr (Those grey staff dudes.) and carefully deal with them whilst watching out for those floating turrets the King will summon.

Whenever the Vyr are all dead, get some shots in on King's head. If you have the trait that increases weakspot damage, it's good to have upgraded for this fight because landing head hits on Undying King is insanely easy.

Whenever Undying King walks to his pool to regenerate, you'll notice the melee claw guys you've seen in earlier dungeons will start coming out. Having some form of crowd control here is invaluable. My personal suggestions are to summon either two gun turrets at the stairs, or two tentacles from the Curse of the Jungle God pistol, then remain on the platform dealing damage to Undying King to counter his regeneration and let your summons deal with the claw dudes.

Once Undying King grunts and flinches, back away from him and clean up any claw dudes left over, then repeat everything before, watch out for Vyr, use the pillars, keep Undying at a distance and take pot shots at his head when you can.

After his health pool empties, he'll revive to about 50% HP once, just keep on with the usual strategy to finish him off.

Remember, there's no shame in opening up Adventure Mode to do some farming for gear and trait points without resetting your campaign. If you feel you've hit a wall in terms of difficulty, definitely farm a little in adventure mode and upgrade some stuff. ARMOUR MATTERS IN THIS GAME, having your armour upgraded will make the difference between getting instakilled and being able to tank a fair few hits and make more mistakes.

Best of luck to you.

Yeah, the Undying King can be tough, especially on a first playthrough. A good way to determine if you're under-geared is to check out Rating vs. Zone in the Advanced Attributes tab of the character panel. From what I understand, the Undying King actually scales higher than any other boss in the game, with the final boss being +11 and the Undying King being +15.

Another thing to keep in mind is that world bosses will always scale a minimum of +1 above your gear score. Here's an informative post from the devs about enemy level scaling: https://www.reddit.com/r/remnantgame/comments/crs0i3/level_scaling_information/

So you may opt, as SapphireSouls mentioned, to run Adventure Mode for a bit to farm materials and level up your gear (and Traits—equip that Sagestone!).

Hope that helps, and best of luck!

That's not to discount Ezlan's hard hitting melee swings. If he catches you with hist first hit, he will most likely chain his other hits off that stagger and they do hefty damage. The attack is deceptive. He will jump to you first without any damage inflicting moves, but get you to reflex dodge setting you up for his actual swing to land when you are coming out of your dodge and vulnerable. Keep your cool, don't flinch and wait for his actual swing.

I tried and died several times to finish of the Undying King. Until I noticed he was passive during his healing. So I summoned the root ball buddies to distract/kill and minions, kept running and gunning the Vyr and depleted the Kings health from range with the hunting pistol until he needed to recharge. That's when when the lesser creatures came in to replace the Vyr, which was the cue for me to get up close and personal, counting on my armor and the healing aura to keep me alive long enough to melee'd him (and any creature in range) until it was done. Success on the second attempt with the new strategy, as opposed to 45 minutes of frustration trying to whittle him down from range like I did with the Ent and shroud.
