Splitter Boss in Survival
Currently playing survival and whenever I encounter Splitter especially as the first boss I hit a brick wall. This boss seems to be very dependent on what kind of weapon you are using. I killed him with particle accelerator and other AOE weapons without much problem on nigthmare. Yet on surival I can't do sh*t 90% of the time since I don't have the right weapon for the job and my dmg output simply can't deal with his regenarative abilities especially if I am unlucky enough to roll him with a "hearty" affix. He'll slowly wear me down with his aoe dmg that is pretty much undodgeable once he has split to 8 indivudals and 3 or 4 dragonhearts are simply not enough for me to tickle him to death before he kills me with his AOE waves. Any tips other hoping to not roll this boss?

Its really easy on first 6 mins (very low hp pool), absolutly broken as 2-nd boss and normal after. Best we can find - keep mines for last stage, shot blinking ones and prey prey prey(

Mastering the AOE wave timing and respecting the hell out of his ranged attack travel speed are critical. I find it easiest to dodge through the waves.

My most hated early boss is Scald & Sear, followed by The Warden.

Oh my god scald and sear are a pain in the butt. But they feel fairer for me than splitter. Any relatively precise weapon will do the job. But Splitter is almost instant GG for me once he splits the last time.

The key to making splitter doable is to abuse the burning mines on the ground. That is how i beat him as first boss encountered on a new game. Make sure as many parts as possible are near the mine, pop it and until the burning stops watch for the heal pulses and dodge. There is no need to shoot the boss, the world will do that for you.
