Iskal Queen Fight
Why does the Iskal queen take massively reduced damage from everything? Is there something I'm missing in the fight?

Aim for the head, her armour reduces most things.

I would also like to know what is the trick to this fight. Only thing I've seen is she takes normal (not reduced) damage when you aim at the head. But we've barely been able to do any damage to her with my group. She has so much health and her area attacks kill us too quickly.

Basically heres a small guide I can put together for you:
Equipment: Heavy hitting gun and a fast shooting gun
Weak Point: she doesn't have a crit spot, but if u shoot her 2 antenna's sticking out to the right and left of her head you will do full damage.

Mechanics:
-Insect Swarm, use fast shooting gun to eliminate them before they get close.
-Green Goo Launch, run in any direction, do not roll unless u are very late at reacting to it.
-Middle or Outside, this is the hard mechanic, when her wings glow run to the middle of the room, if she then lifts her staff run out of the middle, if she doesn't lift her staff stay in the middle.
-Michael Bay Timed Explosion, stop attacking the boss and pay attention to her, she still does mechanics while the bomb can still go off, RIGHT when you hear the screeching noise from the bomb, roll. If you do not roll at that exact time you will die.

It's a really tough fight. It took me probably 15 tries at least. I stopped counting eventually.

Reaper covered most of the tips I would give minus one thing. The Michael Bay explosion as he calls it is NOT an instant kill, trust me I speak from painful experience. At least, not on Normal difficulty. Maybe on nightmare or apocalypse it could be.

Equip a fire mod or the Spitfire. DoT is good for the first phase.

Yeah I'm using a fire mod but it's not enough :( she just has so much health that we've only been able to go to the second phaze a couple of times.

What I found also helps is using the Devastator and aiming for the head/horns. Using the sniper rifle or crossbow with Hotshot and Hunter's Ring when you can't get close is another option.

Phase 2 is just hoping your reflexes are good enough to dodge the slam shockwave attacks.

Here you people already discuss strats to kill her... and i didnt find her a single time lol

Cant you get her to spawn in adventure mode? Or... Do i need to unlock a new area lol

She spawned in Adventure Mode for me.

Actually I just killed her. All I used was the Spitfire and the Sniper Rifle with Hotshot equipped, as well as the armor buff potion. 10th attempt after getting used to her attacks.

She spawned in Adventure Mode for me.
Thanks! i did 4 reruns of the swamp area and always ended up with the unclean one... xD

The way she spawned was in a tower for me. I don't know if that matters as far as the procedural generation goes, but that was the only time I saw a really tall building in the game before.

Thanks for this! Spitfire and sniper rifle with hotshot seem to work best. :D
