Skins, thoughts and suggestions.
The skins are cool, I like the skins, but to me these are more re-textures than "skins" as most know them. I almost bought skins for armors I never use thinking i could wear them cosmetically over my actual set. I think mmo-rpg styled armor-appearance-swapping skins, where you can have the visual look of a different armor worn over the ones you're using, would be a really cool addition to the game.

If you had those kinds of skins it could motivate people to really go out of their way to get all the skins, as people love collecting fashion. However as it is now youre really only ever interested in the skins for the armor that work for the build(s) you use. I myself only ever wear cultist and labyrinth stuff so, as of now glowing fragments are pointless to me as I have those two alt color sets. However, if I could mix and match I would want every skin of every armor piece in the game!

I think it would create greater depth in character customization, allowing people to get creative and look the way they want to look.

In summary MMO styled skins could add more value to the game by giving players more to do, and more customization options beyond that of the current skin system.

Thank you to anyone who read this, and should you be one of the Developers, whether you take my words to heart or not you still have my thanks for this tremendously entertaining game.

From what I gathered of skins along the years, they're basically retexturing the object, instead of remodeling it. I think that isn't much of a problem, though, but what would be is how I just can't use armors cosmetically, so I would be able to use twisted hood, osseous husk and scrapper's boots while looking like I was using hunter shroud, drifter's coat and hunter pants instead. That, and a huge portion of the skins is locked behind DLC.

Skins are textures, people use the concept "skin" in a wrong way, they mean models.

I don't like the idea of "transmog" in the game, I want to know the build of the other players.

I was hoping this would be a thing in Remnant and the first thing my friend said when we were playing and he noticed that this wasn't the case was: "damn, that sucks, that would have been cool" So yes, I think it's something the community would really appreciate, I know I would :)

It would be nicely implemented along with an option to open another player's character window. After all, we know what armor and weapons they have, but the mods are guesswork and upgrade level is just not there.

Alll for this ,wearing one set with a good build but taking the look of other parts would be great also been able to chnage your charater look, these features would make this game even more addictive for me.

I think Vanity armor (that's what it's called in most games, when you wear one set of gear for stats but another for appearance) would be a great addition. You don't even have to make separate skins for it, just make a Vanity tab in character window where you can equip other armor you have for the appearance and then you can also press X to pick an alternate appearance for it from the Glowing Fragments skins. Though, one issue people like me would have, from my forgetfulness, is that I'd probably end up confusing what my armor benefits actually are for the ones I'd have with the Vanity armor. Say, I wear a full Labyrinth set, and in Vanity I put Hunter helmet, Hunter chestpiece and bandit pants. Due to my forgetfulness, I normally take visual reminders to understand what my benefits are, so I'll look at myself and think, "Yes, I have 35% increased weakspot damage + A 10% chance not to spend a bullet when hitting someone", but in reality I have increased mod damage and I magnet iron and scrap to myself.

If they added the requested loadout tab maybe we could name it ,that might help with an issue like that.

I would like to see more options in character creation for customisation as well as what you have suggested.

i still dont understand why they added the skins because in order to use the skins you need new content but we dont have new content where we can use our gear a lot more.
Yeah. we could play survival more but that doesnt have the skins(not exactly the best place to see them) and to replay the game on Apocalypse is not that fun.

I really want the merchant with the skins to have more stuff for sale like items or he should give a few glowing fragments at least for each finished campaign(like 50-100 fragments)
