Can't find my Armor Skins

Hello,

I bought some armor skins from the Survival dealer, but I can't find how to equip them. They do not appear under my character tab. I read that you have to press x but that doesn't do anything. Anyone got help with this?

Its a skin for that item. So letos chest can only use the letos chest skin ;)

......Ah, well that isn't as nice as I was hoping. Thought this was a way to change the looks of your character independent of what gear they were wearing. Drat. Well thanks for the info.

For some reason, they decided the skins to be for the individual pieces of armor. Imagine my disappointment when I was expecting to use the adventurer set skins to just look normal and use any ugly combo I wanted underneath it, only to find out I'd have to wear an armor that buffs drops from ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ breakables instead of something like reducing damage by 15% or improving health regen and health stealing.

Yeah, I mean I run the regen build often so I was happy to see skins for the twisted set, but it'd be nice to keep my 'root cultist' getup whilst using other builds.

Also who on earth decided to leave the twisted mask out, like who seriously takes the hood over the mask when it makes you fat roll.
