How hard is the game compared to dark souls?
Is it easier or harder, do you get punished a lot. Will it go on sale during Christmas

its not that bad, enemies are abundant but easy to handle just as long as you keep your cool and pick your target, maybe its already on special... dunno kinda bought this game when it came out

It's actually way more forgiving than dark souls, there's no punishment for dying other than it makes enemies respawn, checkpoints are always present right outside the boss fog so you don't have to run all the way back, also traits eventually make you become a formidable force even in solo play.

Significantly easier even on the hardest difficulty. Still a super great play though, with great replayability.

How is the coop? Can my friends experience the story the same way I do it or is it limited to certain sections of the game.

Full Co-op once you get through the tutorial.

Honestly, it has some of the smoothest co-op I've seen in a fully PVE game.
Certainly less annoying to get into co-op than, say, Dark Souls or Monster Hunter World.

Which difficulty should I play on, I like a bit of challenge, but not having to die over and over again, like in sekiro, where some bosses could require 20 attempts.

Start with normal or hard softcore to get the hang of the game. You can change the difficulty when you re-roll a world. When you feel like you know what you are doing, start a hard-core character.

You will die on some bosses over and over even on normal. DS bosses allow you to move, in Remanat you will be often fighting in narrow passages and corrdiors where you can easily be cornered.

Thus lies the biggest gripe. The game throws ads at you in tight spaces because most bosses are just large versions of basic enemies. The game is not comparable to Dark Souls in difficulty; in Dark Souls if you time a dodge incorrectly or whiff an attack you get punished, in this game it is only mobs that pose a threat and it devolves into kiting and picking off targets so you can chip away at the bosses when they enter their "you can damage me now" phase

I wasn't a fan of the game. The world has like 7 colors total, the enemies are all mindless and pose zero threat when attacked at range and the only thing that ever becomes difficult is wrestling the camera when the bosses spawn 15 enemies out of a closet

Co-op was entertaining and very easy to manage, though, and the game was very stable

On multiplayer is easy if you play with someone good but there are cheaters who can give you infinite money or exp....so they ruin your progresion
Dark Souls fan and I highly disagree. DS is much more difficult and punishing but that doesnt mean that this game isn't great.
