Saves on servers or saved on PC?
I like the expierience that everyone has gained their loot / lvl / exp INGAME and not manipulated the save data.

PC you can play completely in offline mode.
that doesn't really answer his question or mean anything. I can play all of my games on steam in offline mode and when I do go online, it will try to sync the files.. Also allowing people to keep files on their PC or keeping config all client side just means that it will be cracked by this weekend and full of cheaters and people boosting themselves and ruin Multiplayer and kill the game. Hopefully they weren't dumb enough to do that in a looter shooter game

It's a single-coop player game... there is no competing with other players..

yeah its solo/coop. No PvP. People shouldnt mess with their level data, but if they do, its really not much of an issue towards you, as it in no way affects your game.

This isn't a garbage game like Anthem. Even a game like Borderlands has always had save editors for both the PC version and the console versions of the game. Hardly anyone cares. And why should they they care about your fragile ego in regards to virtual items?

I dont want to compete, i would like to play with others, but when there are people that maybe manipulate the save file it will be super easy =/

Then you can choose not to play with them, by either leaving their game or kicking them from yours.

Super easy to what? Cheat? Like I said previously, if you don't want to play with someone, don't. Your room, your rules. Hell, if you join someone you don't want to play with, you're not obligated to stay either.

Why I have to continue to explain what should be common sense, you haven't fully revealed yet. I have my suspicions, however.

I like co-op and online games. Slowly gearing up with other, joining randoms and enjyoing the game. This all will not happen with a save file on PC.
This game is designed for instant co-op action and looting together. Its all about loot and collecting stuff.
If you are in a team with people with maipulated saves it ruins the game experience. When i want to play solo i play a singleplayer, but this game isnt this, in the endgame it seems like a grinder you do with others.
This game looks promesing like a Warhammer Vermintide 2. Hope they do it online mode only like WV 2

Borderlands, one of the most popular looter shooters has save editors for PC and console. What you're saying is a complete fabrication. How about you try and have some personal responsibility instead of trying to control the actions of others?

Right, pretend to be a victim when you have no proper argument. Again, Borderlands, one of the most popular looter shooters ever, has save editors for both the PC and console versions. How do you explain Borderlands' success, even though your failed logic states otherwise? Hint: Your logic is at fault here.

yep I dont want that too. I will leave the session as soon as I see hacker or save editer. It also makes me play the game less and a loss of immersion.

No one has right to ruin my experience. So for this reason I will only play with my friend if he is not available will play solo for the first run through. Then maybe I can consider joining others.

Sounds like you have some personal issues that you have work on if being inconvenienced is too much for you to handle.

It's a peer-to-peer game, not a services, login-to-server type game (say The Division, or an MMMORPG) so it's the Wild Wild West. I'd say akin to most ARPGs that don't have a Battle.net situation, or some twin stick co-op games enjoy, like Helldivers and Alien Swarm.

As long as the game remains single player or co-op only, I'm OK with it being peer to peer. I'm not smart enough to hack games and don't approve of that. Just, it didn't bother me in Helldivers there's hacker and trainer players all over the place in that game, I just tended not to stick around when it was clear someone was doing that.

The host can kick players too in Remnant, so you could kick someone if you're certain they're messing around. I am curious if when you kick someone, if they can just rejoin the session.

Also curious if Remnant has a "only players on my Steam friends list can join" type setting for hosts.

Guess we'll know more in... 15 hours? :)
