What Difficulty Will You Try?

This game will have 3 difficulties Normal, Hard, Nightmare. The game vids with SoFech say that he is on Normal, and possibly a toned down developer build Normal. That still looked like a good fight so no shame it selecting that.

I mostly roll solo so I think I will try Hard and see how it goes.

They said you can switch difficulty on the fly but I like to start and finish with the same selection. Also I find that once you get to used to a games difficulty it evens out. There is no real consequence to dying so I love trying many methods on the more difficult enemies while I learn what is the best way to kill them. Of course running away and reevaluating is also an option. I have also found that when you scream like a little girl while you are running away, that can sometimes help. Not always but sometimes. :)

What difficulty do you think you will start with, and any reason why?

I stink at most games tagged as "Difficult" on Steam, so I suspect I would wade into the kiddie pool difficulty level of Remnant. :)

HA! I think this kiddie pool will have some alligators and poisonous snakes in it so no shame there! :)

Definitely don't start on Nightmare. It's unlocked because we don't want to artificially limit what you can try... but it's really meant for high-level characters with end-game traits and lots of trait points. It's gonna be BRUTAL for a fresh character. Hard mode, however, is a very fun/challenging experience with a brand new char. I highly recommend it (it's what I play on with any new char). Save Nightmare for later. =)

I'll use the same difficulty as always - easiest.

(if I won't see too many reviews how people quit over difficulty like it happened with Sekiro or Dark Souls)

Normal - I like to get used to the controls and get some loot. Then I will move on to hard.

Honestly i play most games on Normal because Real Life is set by default @ Nightmare without an option to change it! Sooo, ye, normal is fine.

I'll start on nightmare and just handle it for at least a couple of hours, haha. If it's indeed too brutal as the developers say I'll play on hard for a while.

I personally started solo playthrough on nightmare as a scrapper (melee guy) and have to admit i really love the challenge it presents.

I've started with nightmare... I'm quite experiensed in souls-like games, but that's obviously harder then everything and maybe then every challenge i've ever tried... But after the second planet it becomes much easier as expected. But still never try this if you think 15 minutes intense fight with boss that easily can kill you with just a one shot if it wants to is too mutch for you!!!
