Game Worth it as a Solo Player?
Just inquiring as to whether it is worth investing into this game as a solo player?

Let me explain why I am pressing X to doubt.

Usually with coop based games like this they punish solo players by having the difficulty balance one sidedly in favour of playing with others. Just like Wolfenstein: Youngblood playing solo is 2x harder then playing with others.

And will content and missions be blocked or difficulty impassable for solo players.

I'm tossing up on if I should buy this game or not.

The Devs have said themselves that to experience the game in it's most challenging form is to play it solo and it is 100% soloable.

So unbalanced for solo compared to coop?

No, it scales but obviously co op players can revive eachother making learning from mistakes not as subtle BUT alone each death is a learning experience.

It just sounds like I will get punished by the game being harder if I play alone. Typical coop centric game. Think I will pass.

Honestly it's not, it's 100% soloable you can't tell me you're afraid of a little challenge? This game looks amazing and I will be playing Solo on a live cast and I'm seriously looking forward to it.

think it like Monster Hunter World, 100% soloable, in fact it's even easier to solo in MHW than multi because of multi scale and inconsistent player skills/equipments

Thanks for the information guys. One last question.

Will this game have ultrawide resolution support for resolutions such as 3440x1440p?

What makes the game "easier" in Co-Op is the revive mechanic. What makes the game "harder" in Co-Op is the scaling (enemy damage, enemy health, and enemy intensity). It really depends what sort of experience you are looking for. It is extremely fun single-player but it is a different experience due to not having anyone to revive you.

Besides that, it's definitely not meant to punish you for playing single-player.

So one of the news updates by the devs on the store page says this, which indicates we *can* revive ourselves, I mean respawn anyway:
DYING
Death is inevitable in REMNANT. Expect to die (and die often at first) – it’s part of the charm and challenge of the game.

Luckily death is not permanent thanks to the strange World Stones and World Shards found throughout the environment. You will respawn at the last checkpoint you interacted with along with replenished Dragon Hearts (healing item) and a full stock of ammunition.

However, it’s not all peaches and cream… an all-new set of enemies in the zone will also respawn in completely different locations. Tread carefully…
Also the MP reviving sounds interesting:
It’s also useful to talk about death in multiplayer.

Working alongside a team of friends makes for a great time in REMNANT and helps take down some of the tougher bosses in the game. However, it’s imperative that you work to support each other in every fight.

When one (or more) of you go down during a firefight, your teammates will have a limited time to revive you before you die. If you die, you won’t be able to respawn until at least one of your teammates reaches a World Stone or Shard checkpoint to initiate a resurrection.

If your entire team dies you will ALL respawn back at the last checkpoint… and your enemies will repopulate![/quote]Which all sounds good to me. :)

If you dont want to play single player, try find some people on discord or a threath or something to play with

Yeah, I didn't think Wolfenstein: Youngblood was that hard. I just beat it yesterday with no issues playing completely by myself. I had a couple randoms in some of my earlier levels for a small bit, but no major contributions from anyone and I have no friends that have the game.

I prefer solo honestly. I don't mind games that have an online Co-op component to them, but I plan to play Remnant almost exclusively solo unless someone wants to group up.

I have heard from the latest dev intro video over on YT saying that enemy difficulty scales to how many players u have on the team, as well as loot rarity to encourage players to coop. HOWEVER, yes it is soloable
