Blink Thief is gone

So I failed in killing him during his 3 phases, and now he won't respawn. He respawned after I rested at the checkpoint after only going through one phase, but now he won't after all 3 are over.

Is this a glitch or did the devs do this on purpose? That ♥♥♥♥♥♥ had a sliver of health left when he vanished for the third time.

Once you go through the 3 and he lives, he is gone. No resetting him. You have to reset after 1 or maybe even 2 but once he completes his cycle, you need to reroll (Adventure) to get him again.
