Leveling/Grinding
Can somebody explain me, how enemy-scaling works? Is it possible to grind if I can't beat a boss? If yes, how to level/grind efficiently?

Thx for response...

I joined random people's games. After one dungeon and boss I had gotten 4 trait points, like 4k scrap, a ton of mats and a new weapon. It doesn't effect progress in your own world.

There is a great reddit post from a developer that goes in depth about leveling. I do not have it but try searching in this forum. There are a couple of threads with links to the exact post.

It is a great read and well worth the work. Good luck finding it.

Basically, upgrading gear is a one way street and once you enter a new zone, it'll scale up to your strongest stuff again, undoing it all so it's not something you can rely on if you reset your campaign at all.

The only real way to gain in power is leveling traits.
Those are not part of any scaling and just flat out make you stronger.

Which is also why the Mind's Eye trait and Guardians Blessing traits are so important. One gives a 20% damage boost to ranged attacks while the other reduces incoming melee damage, all without upgrading your gear.
One level of gear is roughly 5-10% added value to the damage/resistance so you are basically 2 Levels ahead without upgrading your gear.
