Sporebloom build?
Hello there,
I play this game and finally got almost every item, so I was wondering: which are the best jewels to pair the sporebloom with? And which handgun is the most useful when you are using the sporebloom?
I'd like to achieve a nice healing\support build but I'd like to use the sporebloom too, the example of my build is:

1) Elder set + catalyst trait maxed = 45% total chance to avoid consuming a dragonheart when healing
2) Mender's charm = healing yourself heals the allies in 10 meters

And that's it: so I need a nice handgun to pair the sporebloom with and jewels.

Thanks in advance!

I would go Submachine or Magnum revolver, for those moments when you get a bit overwhelmed.

Yeah i'm exactly thinking about that, like "too many mobs and now?" moments.

with sporebloom shotty i use the armor that gives the 35 percent extra dmg per reload. i used the smg up until i found the hunting pistol which complimented the armor and gave me range. i used the swarm mod in my secondary weapon to deal massive fire and forget damage, which works with small group mobs too since they home in.

for perks, mod power generation, reload speed and ranged damage are a MUST! then add the storm jewel which increases elem. dmg by 20 percent

that's an idea, the storm jewel, thanks!

I use Hunting Pistol and Sporebloom and have done for about 50+ hours. Lately I've been pairing the HPistol with the taunt-mod. Combos great with Bloom AoE to melt multiple minor enemies, especially on some bosses.

Can't talk much about traits as I mostly compliment the HPistol (great for sniping, boss killing etc), Spore is just the backup. Mixture of Blooms and melee or Taunt+AoE usually handles the waves.

If you want to be the support guy, you run hunters mark.
Healing becomes less and less relevant once people run around with their 10 dragon hearts, maxed out glutton trait and enemies tend to oneshot.
You'll also want the gunslingers charm to max out reload speed because guns with tiny magazines scale a lot with that.

The taunt mechanic u described seems useful, I'll keep that in mind, ty

For the record, I'm referring to the Rattle Weed mod in-case you want to look it up.

With enough +Spirit you'll generate enough power to repeatedly spawn them and pepper them with Sporebloom AoE so stuff just clumps together and takes damage passively. Also great for certain bosses or 'survival' fights (like the Church).

I find myself in a lot of situation when the teammates can't heal themselves due to mobs number, plus there are times where your allies won't heal theselves to keep the dps high or just 'cause they don't consider that as a primary action (you know, allies who won't heal if their hp is not less than 30%), that's where I use and spam dragonheart. They'll keep dpsing, it seems stupid, but I've found out that bosses and adds become a real joke in fast runs.

For a support build, you're better off using the coachgun or something else you can put mods into because then you can also put shield domes or decoys down which can be a huge help depending on what you're fighting.

Exactly, I'm considering the sporebloom for damage, but it's not my primary choice, the ricochet rifle is a good 1hit crossbow with a mod slot, but that's not really good paired to my build.

Disclaimer: I have only 9,9 hours in the game and have completed the game about 5 times on hard and I'm doing a nightmare run so definitely don't take my suggestion as law.

Sporebloom Support Build?

For Traits, I prefer to max out Quick Hands, Catalyst, Mind's Eye, Handling, Mother's Blessing, Guardian's Blessing and maybe Bark Skin.

For your sidearm, Magnum and SMG are good choices, take the magnum if you wanna have stagger power and strong damage over long distances or take the SMG to get your mod back quick. As for mods, either use minions or something like Howler's immunity or Song of Swords.

Armor is whatever you prefer although I use the bandit armor to max out my damage output with the Sporebloom.

and for charms, take the celerity stone for quick heals and your 2nd ring can be whatever you prefer (although if you're using bandit armor, take pillar of stone). Mender's Charm is a good choice.
