DIFFICULTY SPECIFIC BOSSES & LOOT
I would find it interesting if the game had bosses and loot that you can only encounter in hard and/or nightmare difficulty.

I believe it would increase replayability and give a meaningful purpose for playing on a higher difficulty.

What do you think? It is something you would like to see?

Please no.
It's already annoying to roll specific events and get specific equipment You want.

No. Higher difficulties should be purely optional for people from a gameplay perspective. Nothing should be locked behind harder difficulties.

If they want to add rewards for more difficult fights they should add fights to the game that have unique rewards that are more difficult on all difficulties, not just partitioning it to Hard or Nightmare.

Personally I think game starts feeling like a chore once you get to something like Nightmare. The damage done to you is fine, but enemies become way too bullet spongy for my taste. Personally I wish the difficulty scaling would do little to HP but just make enemies more numerous and/or aggressive.

I don´t know if it is the case or just based on the playthrough:

1. Normal - gatekeeper with the particle accelarator

2. Hard - gatekeeper again with the world breaker

3. Nightmare - the harrow with the defiler

So... while i got everytime with friends or randoms the gatekeeper with the gun on normal, are the other 2 already based on difficulty? (Or atleast the melee weapon since it seems to be the only boss with double-loot?)

And yes i would like to see such stuff.

I would highly recommend, that you can upgrade your weapons or mod with special stuff to +21/+11, when you defeat a boss on a higher difficulty or multiple times.

Bosses shouldn't be exclusive to any difficulties, that's just not worth it for the developer to create since most people won't play past normal difficulty and won't ever see them.

Having some minor rewards for doing things in nightmare would be alright. Maybe nightmarre versions of items that do something a little bit different than normal items.

This wouldn't serve much purpose. As enemies scale directly based off your gear levels.

The mods scale too and that doesn´t really matter. It´s about the replayability. Forcing player to do the boss X 10 times without any "reward" becomes quite boring for the most. Farming scrap / simulakrium too.
So it would be better, when you recieve atleast an upgrade or a new special ability, when you do boss X / find weapon X a 2nd / 3rd / etc. time.

They could tweak the mods aswell like:

- You can have 2 turrets available -> you can have 3 turrets available at once.

It´s endless atm and with spirit you can go for pretty hard cheese combos. I think they should balance the game with more limits, which gets buffed by multiple boss kills / higher difficulties.

And when you´re able to upgrade your gear and the enemies will scale too, you might get access to higher difficulties automatically, when they add, that the enemies scale harder with 21+ gear. (e.g. diablo)
All for those who want a challenge and love this game.
