You're missing out on a TON of content by only playing this game once. Different bosses to fight, lots of weapons, mods and traits plus armor sets.
kilexe Aug 24, 2019 @ 5:22pm
Well if you only play it once no. There is a lot more content to this game then just one playthough.

1) one run is maximum 1/3 of game content, in best scenario.
2) there is no reason to use this trait for one run. It's helpfull when you're lvl350 and you need 200 more to get melee dmg up.

by content you mean story or just more fights and scenarios?
jackhickman999 Aug 24, 2019 @ 5:39pm
Depends really. If you're going to be playing for a very long time on the same character to like level 200 then maybe.

Im not 100% sure but is a point worth 1.75%? When most enemies are worth like 1-2 points. You'll basically at about ten point be breaking even at about what lvl 70.
and about level 140 for 20 points.

but will content be repeated?
so far i defeated the first meele boss, church escort mission , ent , bandits.
Will i have to fight them again?

once? absolutely not

it will certainly be in handy for rerolls/extra content released later

With one run you will definitely be missing out on many traits, weapons, mods, rings and necklaces.

Been rerolling just the first world and found a lot of new stuff I missed in my original play through.

May be yes may be not. For every location there is like 6 side dungeons, 3 main crossroads types, 6 main dungeons and 0-3 special events. In one generation you get 0-2 side dungeoons, 3 main and 2 crossroads. There is 3.5 big worlds, so multiply it to get your probability to get exact the same generation

Playing through the game again CAN (not will) respawn the entire world with different bosses, it CAN spawn different gear, it CAN spawn different secrets in different areas, etc.

All I want is some different guns and armor, I see so many people with cool guns and stuff...

Trait levels have no cap. Additionally EXP requirements for every level cap out at 1500 and never increase past that.

Couple this with the fact that you are, in fact, missing out on several event/NPC encounters, boss encounters, weapons/mods, by just playing through once(incentivizing to at least give it a 2nd play) I would say that maxing out Elder Knowledge is worth it.

And yes, there are damage focused traits you can get later including ones like increasing crit chance and one that straight up just increases your ranged damage(you have kill the last boss for this one though).

You're going to want more Vigor than that. Also what's wrong with faster reload that's good for a lot of weapons.
