Is it too much to ask for a boss with no adds?
I think I'm near the end (and have played through the first half ~4 additional times with friends) now and have not encountered a single boss that was properly difficult, only bosses aided by 10s of adds. The Unclean was close, only 2 guys helping him - more like that!

The sad thing is that apparently there a lot of people that don't want innovation. They also think ads are totally required which is complete bull it's an opinion of theirs. I know good bosses without ads do exist and there are bosses that don't need ads but have them anyways when they don't need them.
Few studios have ever really bothered with the genre and really had a good go a making really exceptional bosses.

Why work towards a really good boss when you can make an okay one and shovel ads with it.
Every time I was almost engaging with a boss and almost enjoying their movesets despite them being a little on the weak side ads would run in and make a boss fight feel like normal gameplay.

The funny thing is the ads with the great unclean one were honestly useless and just an annoying fly they didn't add other than making me more bored and taking away the focus from the boss which made him a bit ♥♥♥♥ when he's not a bad boss.

People also keep making out this game is really hard when there is like 1 boss that was hard due to ad spam. Like clearly quite new fans or just weren't active on the forums for those games because I'd recognise them from somewhere.
Like this game for the most part is really easy much easier than most souls-likes also there are multiples games for soulsbornekiro and they are a lot more difficult parts due to their being so many bosses all in all. So why are the making it out it's the same level of difficulty it a real nice level of difficulty but it doesn't hit the same levels as a souls games it's no where near as long for one thing and it get real hard at times in souls.

Bosses need to be have better movesets and pathing to get more difficult but apparently ads are needed instead. Like you can just throw more ads in the fight because yes it makes it more difficult but interesting, rewarding it isn't.
I can use the light bow gun in monster hunter and it's hard without ads.

not really. the reason is that you fight 90% of the time ads and 10% the boss. which makes the bosses not the "important" part, but since there are no specific boss mechanics it would be crazy lazy and easy. wouldn' it

the game did not lie though we do in fact face hordes of enemies and if the op had play nightmare he/she would know that boss add's are fine. it's swarms of elites that will make you wish you never picked up this game

Literally came to the forum to plead the developers to change this aspect of the game.

The bosses are the weakest point of the game by far and ruin much of the enjoyment.

I'm trying to beat singe at the moment but the boss is irrelevant in the face of endless adds that spawn as fast as you can kill them....and can also run the same speed as you and are tanky as ♥♥♥♥ for me.

Considering how quick you'd run out of ammo I think it is a fair trade off. It can be annoying I do understand but I have noticed that every boss fight so far has required me to change at least one mod of some sort and deal with the ads in correlation to that fight. I mean they could give you more base ammo so they wouldn't have to always spawn ads but then it'd make them too easy. I could honestly face tank most bosses if I didn't have to worry about ammo pacing and that's once I get their mechanics down.

the mechanic is not bad it is in fact very good and so are the boss fights in this game

game bosses suck. I good compromise would be make the respawning of adds take longer, but seems like that would be a simple fix and lord knows most game companies cant do simple fixes anymore

It would also make every boss too easy. its supposed to be a fairly difficult game.
