This Feature Requires a Full game Install - GAMEBREAKING GLITCH

[Flip_Light]

Whenever I hit the singleplayer "play" button it says "The game requires a full install to use this feature" or something along those lines.

I've completely reinstalled the game once, verified files, restarted my PC, nothing. I don't know why it's doing this and I can't access singleplayer at all anymore!

You're alone apparently... Have you tried Offline mode? Same message?
Post the error word for word, maybe it would help figure out the problem.

Steam says you don't even own the game. There's no mouse icon next to your name.

When I try to start an offline or public game on my character this error appears. I'm going to try and make a new character and see if it's just something with that profile, but this is ridiculous.

The game IS fully installed. idk what the ♥♥♥♥ is going on lmao

you can play if u create new character the problem is with your current character

Good idea, try deleting the saves folder if it doesn't work.
c:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Remnant\Saved\SaveGames

Christ that's ridiculous. I made a new character, but I lost all of my progress.
Thanks for the help to those of you who answered. I love this games gameplay but this is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ atrocious in terms of how many people seem to be having issues with saves. Sigh.

I feel you... I've played more than 20 hours and so glad my save is ok lol
Now I'm backing up every now and then until something is done.

So, I had the exact same issue. I saved my files from "C:\Users\*username*\AppData\Local\Remnant\Saved\SaveGames" to a thumbdrive. I just copied all of the files in the folder over. (Just in case)

I then deleted the "save_0.bak" and ran the game. Boom character loaded. Turned out it was a bad backup in my case.

If that doesn't work I would delete the ".sav" and leave the ".bak" and let the game try to recover the save from the backup.
