Dual swords monster...

so i just got to the sewers, the guy with dual swords that blocks bullets. you cant dodge his attacks because he has such a long reach? the dodge roll distance way too short... i heard this game was good but im getting the cheap design feel. the shooting seems good but theres no block just dodge. at least in bloodborne you could dodge properly

If there’s anything Bloodborne has taught me, its be aggressive as hell and you’ll be rewarded. Get in his face and bait em into an attack and unload a shotgun clip into the head/back. Works great

For god sake, when you can't beat an enemy don't say "cheap design", it's you, I am sorry.

You must dofge his telegraphed attacks and then shoot him in the back, sometimes you will even stunlock him and you get three shots for free. Sometimes he does a double combo, get ready to dodge two times. It's scary at early game but soon it will be trivial.

The dual sword root monsters has two different sword combos that he alternates back and forth between. The first one is very easy to dodge. Usually rolling past him is all you need to do. The second combo is a lot longer and more flail-y. I've found it's safest to spam roll 2-3 times before going for the counter attack.

And that's just if you duel them fair and square. There are other methods to cheese them out people have already mentioned.

You can literally just keep shooting him in the face if you have the repeater pistol. he can only block the first few bullets, the rest will hit him and kill him. Also he is pretty easy to dodge.
