{The Risen} RE ANIMATOR IS BS (need help)

Go ahead and say get gud kid, but I have 30 something hours and this horde boss just seems broken as ♥♥♥♥. I have tried everything and have had many people try to complete it with me. I can't progress, is there a secret or is it just ♥♥♥♥ed? I've managed to get one shrine destroyed but never more. If you say get gud join me and prove your worth dood (but seriously if you can do it I'm asking for a helping hand)

Which one is reanimator again ? The one in the hive ? If so I can try and help out.

Just take 2-3 shots at each and run in a circle from one to the other. Takes a while but the only way. You can also blow up the tank guys they take guys with them when they splode

I believe so is the one with three shrine a and ads spawn like crazy and a bunch of dudes with teleport "go crazy go stupid"

I tried this to no avail, believe me I can survive for a long time but can barely get anything done

The strat i used was to lure the slower enemies to one of the re-animators your not going to attack and then move to the furthest re-animator from that, kill the teleporting guys soon as u see them but leave the slower guys alive.

If your getting overrun move again to the furthest re-animator, rinse and repeat until u beat it.

This way your only focusing on the teleporting guys and not so much the ads that keep respawning right at the objective.

I was having such a hard time with this fight in multiplayer. Probably wasted over an hour on this boss. Then I switched to offline and just soloed it by running around. Basically emptying a clip into each re-animator and then moving on to the next one. I got it first try solo after countless failures in multiplayer. This boss fight just seems too unbalanced.

I get why they need them, but constant respawn before you can even clear one group.
Not only that you have the teleporting ♥♥♥♥♥ and will mob up and corner rape you.

I even tried with rattle weed, just spam the re-animator then shoot out the rattle weed asap, but it doesn't help against the teleporting ♥♥♥♥♥ because they will just blink after you and ignore the rattle weed, hit-stunning the ever-linving ♥♥♥♥ out of you while the rest of the mobs kill the rattle weed.

Absolute horrendous design on this crap, and not the only "boss". Stinks of lazy design, what a waste.

After failing multiple times doing it with a friend, we finally used Rattle Weed and got it on the second attempt using it. Probably would have went even better if we had two, but we had both beat the first boss solo, and I didn't get Shade.

Main thing to do is to get Rattle Weed on something like the SMG, or some other automatic weapon, and build the charge on the actual Re-Animators. The constant weak point hits charge it insanely fast, and you should be able to keep it up at all times. This is probably even easier with a friend to have focus the orbs while the other focuses on maintaining Rattle Weed, but it should be possible solo.

Doing it solo and running around may work fine as well, but I've not done it solo yet. Regardless this event is easily the worst in the game.

I finally beat this boss about 3 houirs after this post and just forgot to tell everyone. Sciku from previous comment helped and and another buddy of mine, we just slayer abused the shrines with hunting pistol, and kept running around with ruin and keeping a constant revive. we would all focus on the shrine and took each one out in under 30 sec. Completed the boss in 1:55. i honestly dont know how you would accomplish solo but our strat was DPS DPS DPS

yep i used hunting pistol cause it charges in one shot
they need to rebalance this one

Kill the teleporters, ignore the rest.
Keep going between the pylons and kite everything.

Use rattle weed, or you could try using particle accelerator's blackhole to hold all the adds down.
I personally would hug the re-animator, shoot the black hole at it, so the adds would come to me and get sucked and and die to it while also damaging the animator, and i'd apply burning stacks with wildfire shot. I imagine rattleweed just trivializes the entire fight though.

this literally made me alt f4 after 3 hours.. this is super bs and the reward item? not worth it.
