These bosses are terrible
Just flooding a cramped arena with adds with a reskinned brute doesn't make the fight interesting or fun.

The only boss that felt cheap and annoying was Undying King, he spawns way too many adds and they can seriously mess up the fight. That said, it felt great to beat that ♥♥♥♥♥ ass down.

harrow with his claw happy walking radiation bombs I say are worse. more numbers of them and they have lots of cover between them and you

I think those saying bosses are terribly designed are missing that there are multiple ways to defeat them, and you get rewarded for doing specific things that can make the fights easier... :lunar2019piginablanket:
You guys seem like experts. What would you do to increase the difficulty if adds are off limits?

Seems odd that you guys can't handle the adds. Literally the first mod you get in the game takes all agro off you and the mod is literally reusable every 15 seconds as long as youre hitting things.

I do agreed that the some of the mini boss are only a reskin of elite with one or two extra action that they will do on top of what the elite version is like . And that putting minions in with the boss arena is some what of a easy insert to amp up the difficulty while giving ammo to players.

But you have to understand that this is a game "AA" game not a "AAA" game. This means there will be some stuff that would not be comparable to what "AAA" has to offer. That is why we are paying $40 instead of $60 for this game. They are bound to make sacrifice along the way to make the overall whole game better then just maybe one or two thing great while the whole game suffer for it.

Personal I don't really mind how they did the boss arena fight because to me it make sense for the game as a whole.

I'd love to hear some peoples thoughts on making the boss fights more interesting in a shooter game. It's much easier to make cool bosses when the game is melee orientated, but it's hard when it's a shooter. It's a whole other ball park.

Everyone has their opinion just because you dislike the game doesn't mean everyone shares your opinion.
its not an opinion its a fact...
regular monsters easy peasy mini bosses not a challenge. Gorefist boss not a boss for solo, not a boss for 2 players barely doable with 3 players new to the game.

Just use the aggro-pulling tentacle for every boss, you get 1/6 - 1/5 hp of the boss when he is busy beating the tenatacle and if you deal enough damage you can refresh it indefinetely. Stupid ads are problem but they focus the tentacle too, so you can use AOE mod to clear them.

The adds are free damage on the boss if you are ballsy enough too, their explosion hurts everyone friend and foe alike.

I think when people get the wrong idea when people criticize bosses being mostly adds. Add flooding in boss fights is artificial difficulty and it feels cheap. When I go into a boss fight I remember the adds more than the boss, because the adds are a much high priority than the boss, and this shouldn't be. My method for most boss fights is focus down adds and use abilities on the boss. I'm not complaining that I'm struggling with bosses, but instead not feeling satisfied killing a boss. The Undying King, for example, was a joke. His difficulty is all adds. All of his attacks are easy to dodge, and he goes down like a wet sponge. It was dealing with his adds that gave me the most trouble, but after I delt with them the fight was over. It feels like survive the waves with a boss in the middle more than a boss fight. Because of that feeling I assume it's intended this way, and to more enjoy the game, view it this way. However, it is nice to have a real boss fight now and then.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, but another part of my reasoning behind it just being wave survival is if you pay attention to the bosses they're designed to back off when they spawn adds. They would be more difficult if they were much more aggressive.

You know I never thought the adds in any of the boss fights were that bad and I played the whole game solo. I think this really boils down if people are willing to learn how to control or prioritize adds in a boss fight. If someone isn't a fan of that then it's no surprise they'd just complain about every boss.

I mean, at the end of the day I liked pretty much all the boss fights in the game. Some were a total pain the ass, but never so much as I didn't know or didn't figure out what I needed to start doing to actually finish them. Again, solo.
