What the hell is this story? *SPOILERS inside*
So whilst all of you are complaining about the "Bosses being too hard hurr durr", I'm over here wondering what the hell this story is and why are the characters that we meet in this game so inconsequential! or just plainly do not need to be there.

1. I was hoping I could tell Ford her grandfather is still alive...somehow, but nope, no option to do so, not even a HINT of new dialogue, nothing.
2. So we kill the Dreamer....And end up in a cave? How the fu....And we have a boat again...Coool...then the game just ends? EH!? What do you mean the game just ENDS right there? No grand monologue detailing how Humanity came back from it all after the Root died? Nothing? Really!?
3. The game seems to pick up new story characters and then just FORGETS about them like it was nothing. Oh no, there's a rebellion against the nobles who turn out, are complete and utter pricks, can we do anything to help? Nope, f*ck you and your wanting for story. Hey, ya know how that Merchant told us about how if the Undying King actually died, change will come? Nah, f*ck you. What about the "Elf" Queen who is a bug but okay, you give her the heart aaaaaaaaand just get an armour set? No other lore? Mkay. IVE GOT IT, WHAT ABOU- No...Nothing, there is actually nothing else to the story apart from characters being used as arbitrary plot devices to push us until we ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ off a guy in his sleep.
4. Also I'm pretty sure at the start of the game (And my memory is a tad fuzzy on this) but we're trying to get to this rusted tower or something like that. Did the game actually explain why? Or did we ever find out? The game shows us in the end that we go to (I presume said tower) a tower to kill the Dreamer, but our character wouldn't have known any of that beforehand, so what was his original purpose? (Unless, they did in fact mention that and I've just forgotten)
5. Cliffhangers suck.

Maybe I'm missing stuff because I only JUST finished the game for the first time. Maybe there's more story stuff in hard or nightmare, I am hoping at least that I can find some more, because the concepts were pretty cool, just lacking in details or specifics.

yeah I kinda feel like theres a lot of loose ends and room for adding more dialogue. I will agree with that. Like the Pan world didn't even get a climatic ending to it either and the humans of the ward feel like they need a lot more fleshing out. The story overall is certainly a big weak point of the game. Its just a loose cement to hold together the actually fun gameplay.

A Theory I saw floating around was that your character is looking for the protagonist from the VR game which this game is apart of that game's world.

this story is not the best part of the game and if u want to ignore it u can ^^

the enemy number one is the seat and u fight vs the seat the whole game u search a way to destroy / stop it, and u try to do everything to kill it, on the end u killed the dreamer but that s not enought to stop that - so we can take a look if we can beat the seat on rev 2 :WorldStone:

1. Yep, was hoping same thing.
2. Its kind of reference to first game (Chronos: Before the Ashes). Actually ironic detail, especially if you know who the Dreamer actually is.
3. You need DLC to more info here. But more or less you can see Queen is usinge heart to make herself kind of God. You also can fight her and its one of the hardest bosses (most players saying she is hardest) in the entire game.
4. Here you need another DLC - Subject 2923, so you can see the real ending of story. Its cool imho, and the bosses here are really different in many different ways. Last boss of DLC is my favourite (movement set, music, whole atmosphere ect).
5. Get both DLCs. You wont regret. And if you going to spend some time in *Spoiler area* of Subject 2923 and reading info from terminals, you will have most of answers you looking for. Especailly how invasion begins. Imho totally worth.

As side note - game lore is really interesting when you have all information from all possible sources, but lack of budget leads to bad impression about story in Remnant.

In case you have enough of game, but still want to see whole lore - check this playlist:

the game lore is like the dark souls lore its heavy to understand and u need a lot more then just playing story and finish, u need to read item description even of the small items they give u a lot of lore input

yea xD a lot of players say the queen is the hardest boss - i can explain why, to fight her is realy rare so there is not a big prepareation, she s fast and dont let you breath, but if u fight her 10 or 20x she s "easy" i dont want to say easy but xD u can beat her without problem s, but she s realy funny a realy cool and nice boss fight for a rare boss
