Upgrading Ward 13
Does anyone else kind of wish you could upgrade Ward 13 with spare scrap and iron and find new NPCs (shops and quests ect.) to take to Ward 13? Probably will never happen but it would be cool to do something in base while waiting for friends to join or having a break between runs.

Not only that, but they should react to every major boss you kill (like they do for the Dragon and Ent). They should all have personal quests too, in every zone if possible.

The odd thing is, if you look around, there actually IS space for improvement, almost like they are planning downloadable content from the get go. I have counted at least 2 or 3 spaces that look like a vendor might have been there and they removed them, or they set the place up so when they add a DLC or something, there is room already made for them. I do hope though, that some sort of content is added, as when you have beaten the game about 11 times, there isn't to much left to do other then grinding content, which becomes rather boring. I would love this game even more if they added some kind of DLC or future patch/content that made coming back to it even more fun each time you run through the game.

Agreed. The hub, as it stands, is pretty barren. It also seems like just about every scene-dressing NPC is concentrated around one area. It'd be nice to see people wandering around in the space near Reggie and Ace.

It'd also be neat to see NPCs start populating the lower levels of the Ward when the player completes the mini-puzzle to open them up. It'd be a nice little touch to show the player's impact.

It'd also be neat to see minor friendly NPCs from other worlds migrate into the Ward as the player clears their chapters. The girl at the gate in Rhom, for example. She's not a merchant, so moving her wouldn't mess with the player.

Part of the upgrades should include the choice of preventing guests from buying limited stock from the generator girl, have that disabled by default and give an option to enable it for friends, etc.

I have seen people sacking the important resources because they are rich on scrap, etc. Even buying the very few Simulacrum she sometimes has available.

I don't mind the hub how it is but yeah it would be cool

Yes I wish the same thing.

great observations in this thread.

would love to see small things like this added in ( i say small but i also understand that it would still be a large amount of work) but these kinds of changes are things that would make the already fun farming seem just even better.

True, but at the same time if customers and current players see added content, or even monthly added content, they are more likely to sell a game later down the road then just when the game first comes out. This game has A LOT of potential, and it would be a shame to see it not fully taken advantage of, because they truly could have a gem here. It could be free content, like armor sets or new weapons, or paid content, which adds campaigns, because oddly enough when you go to reset the campaign, it gives you a choice to pick the only campaign.. another thing that makes me think they have DLC planned for release... otherwise.. why let you choose the only option there? lol.

would be nice if they react to the end boss kill, but how should it work on bosses in other worlds, they never even heard of them, and why should a npc give me a quest in an area, when he doesnt know that this area exist. (mean npcs in ward 13, if you mean other npcs in other worlds just ignore this post :D)

I noticed that when you rescue Mother. The poor woman's just chilling out in the boonies all on her own like she's a damn leper :P. I assumed that you find more people along the journey to fill up the area, but so far I haven't reeled anyone in and I'm on the last map of the game.

Yeah....i want my own room with trophies and extra stuff or mini-games

Oh, man...that's a good idea! Some bosses are memorable, and I wouldn't mind having a space to show off my achievements, or play Cartel with the arsenal I unlocked but never use (honestly, I only use the hunting rifle or shotgun...and never ditched my Spitfire when I unlocked it...that flamethrower is too good to replace...it's devastating, and real easy to fill up).

Definitely!
Depending on your world generation you could even have specific things you can only find in certain playthroughs.

At the start of the game, when you're making your way towards Ward 13 from the outside, it looks a lot like a post-apocalyptic survival story thing. Monsters attacking a bunker full of survivors.

That theme is immediately cast aside as soon as you enter. They never leave. And they're never attacked again. Another huge plot hole the size of yer mum. Shwacked!

Glad other people think it would be cool too. It would be cool if we eventually get some sort of base building but I would be happy with some more shops/NPCs.
