Suggestion: Hide weapon mod models?
Would it be possible in a future update to get an option to keep a weapon's model as its default when applying a mod?

I'm personally not a fan of most of the weapon mod visuals. Some don't seem to have any relation to their function, either. For example, Breath of the Desert makes you cast from your hand, not the gun.

It'd be nice to be able to see the original model without tossing out the advantages a weapon mod brings, especially given how nice some of the default models are.

That could be something. Although speaking of hiding, maybe an option to hide your helmet/hat/whatever too? I'm really not a fan of the current one I'm wearing, and if it didn't make me lose my set bonus, I would take it off.
Definitely wouldn't mind more aesthetic options. Always been a fan of social slots since I was first introduced to them and I'm quite surprised that more games don't use them.
since this is a post about visuals, does anyone know if gear sets change visuals once you upgrade them at +20? I saw someone wearing a white Cultist gear but my Radiant +20 looks the same as before.

The "white" ex-cultist gear set is a pre-order skin available to those who pre-ordered this game.
Hat hiding would be a welcome addition. Vanity slots would be, too, but that might be a little too far for this particular suggestion thread.

Overall, though, cosmetic options will always be appreciated. Gameplay makes the game, but the art makes it pop.
You can get your gun to bug out and hide the mod attached to it if you equip the same element type back to back.

So, equip breath of the desert, then equip, say, beckon. Sometimes it will hide the mod and make the weapon appear as if it has none.

Then just switch back to breath of the desert.

I like this idea! In a third person game I want to look cool all the time. I think a full cosmetic system needs to be in place for armor and weapons. If they can implement the much requested "toggle helmet" then it seems to me that you can toggle any visual item. I honestly don't even think about the armor bonus. I just want to look cool! What's the point of character creation if all you see are helmets? Sometimes I just want to run shirtless with my cargo pants without getting wrecked, lol!
