FPS low on high end specs
I used to this game on ultra settings on a i5 6600k, 16g ram, amd rx480.
I've upgraded my pc to i7 7700k but now the game struggles with fps.
Any suggestions?

I've got a 2080 / 8700k both overclocked and running ultra in 1440p the game is around 80-90 FPS but my GPU is actually running underclocked. That's a problem with game optimization it should be pushing GPU up to my 2000mhz boost clock and not running @ 1515mhz. It also drops to 50-60fps during boss fights even dropping everything to high.

The optimization is quite ♥♥♥♥.

The game does have some optimization issues with some hardware when people go into the settings and max everything out. Shadows and post processing set to high can cause issues. I recommend lowering shadows to low / medium and post processing set it lower to what you already have. rx480 by todays standard is not quite mid level any more either, just being honest with you. Other games it may play great, each game optimizes differently. Just try lowering your video settings.

I understand what you're saying but i had no issues on ultra settings before upgrading my cpu.
I had easy 120fps, now it is 52fps which is very weird.

Because i have installed new windows 10 i am checking now any os updates. It seems there are some things left to install. Hopefully that;s what causing low fps :P

to put things into perspective, on a gtx 1080 it auto detects the settings in the video options to medium by default. I run mine at ultra, but I did lower shadows to medium/high and set post processing to high. I don't see how you were getting 120fps on ultra with a rx480. Are you sure it didn't auto detect it?

Stop using a potato PC. Buy an i9 and 2080Ti.

after updating my win10 to it's latest update, i went from 40 fps to 60 and sometimes to 90. The drops are there but not a game breaking after i lowered shadows to medium.

Your GPU is bottlenecking i guess.

Lower the shadows. On high settings on my rig, it boosted my FPS from 80 to 150FPS.
