Can we have a "easy baby" mode?

Seriously, i don't care if it unlocks a permanent achievement that says i am a massive wimp, i don't care if it emblazons a glowing "LOSER" on my forehead. I just want to see what is past Root Mother because there is just far, far, far, far, far far too much ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in this game.

On my fifth or sixth run at the game and, frankly, I've exceeded my tolerance for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
Here's how I experience this game:
Start strong, plow through the early missions, get the SMG and some good starting loot, learn the EXP gain skill. All is going well.
Hit the first boss:
If the first boss is Shroud with Enchanter, causing those AOE root rot effects as random explosions that you don't really have a way of predicting, with all those ashen root adds - quit the game and start anew.
I fought shroud down to 1/4th health in the dungeon you need to clear to reach the boss fight... you know, by shooting those statues in his honor? Three of those spawned, each time i knocked off 1/4th of his health and he vanishes away, as you do. i THOUGHT this was a mechanic to make the utter ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that is the shroud fight easier, giving you a chance to whittle down his health before you encounter him - Nope! he still spawns at FULL HEALTH in the boss arena. And with those wonderful ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ explosions too.
If it's Gorefist with his exploding minions, i can manage. Gorefist is a wonderfully straightforward fight and even his rage mechanic can be managed, he maybe kills me once or twice, if i get into a bad position, but he eventually drops. After that the game is, again, fair and entertaining, until Root Mother, where i try about 40-ish times before giving up and starting a new character, because root momma has tiny amounts of health and two miniboss shrouds always spawn right about the same time the mini gorefist does. so i start a new character and hope i somehow get a combination of magic items that carry me past the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that the game throws at me this time.
Being set to public does not help, because nobody joins random public games. None of my friends have this game yet (though i recommended it) and joining someone else's game does not move you forward in your own storyline. All of these factors combined make me infinitely frustrated at the game.

So, An "easy baby" option would be appreciated. Just so i can get past root mother for once. it's legitimately infuriating.

just cheat, alot of people shame cheaters but if you really want a easy mode: cheat, I don't give a ♥♥♥♥ your not great at the game you do you and enjoy the game the way you want too! BUT if you don't want to cheat ask for help, matter of fact I am just eating ♥♥♥♥ in my game, add me if you want some help!

Do you need help lol? The root mother and first dungeon bosses like shroud or gore fist do completely suck but once you get to the other worlds they get fun. Add me if you wanna play.

What are you on about? Lol. Every attack from every boss, no, every enemy is telegraphed by sound/animation.
Why are you even fighting the Shrouds before the boss room? Do you hate yourself?

So, don't quote me on this, but a developer over on discord mentioned that they're working on more difficulty levels.

That may, or may not, include and "easy" mode, but there's a chance.

skidmore, OP is just not great at video games, maybe they have a full time job and can't play for 40 hours a day

what has helped me is manipulating the world leveling system by not upgrading gear untill i get in the red. what i mean is the first boss on earth has a minimum spawn lvl of 5 so if all my gear is at +4 I will be even with that spawn....now the trick is do not upgrade ANY gear past +4 or +2 for boss weapons untill you reach a zone with a minimum Level that puts you in the red, then upgrade all your gear just ONE more lvl at a time till u are grey. you do not want gear that is higher than others and no not want to be in the green<---green means you are good for that zone ONLY but as soon as you go to a new area it will level the area higher than you are. so if you dont upgrade but keep a base line for all your gear you traits will help and your gear being even with the mobs it realy isnt that bad solo.
I run +14 and am grey for every zone in the whole game and nothing besides a few bosses gives me to much grief.

and the other thing early on i did for a "boost" was join a ton of random online matches and grabbed gear from those sessions and built them up for my solo runs

You're supposed to destroy all of the shrines. It's not meant to whittle him down. It's meant to cancel out the explosions within his boss room. I've never gotten those explosions except for once when I just ran past all the mobs because I was trying to get the Typewriter.

The explosion from shroud is predictable, you will hear a noise (hard to describe the noise but it's like faint shrieking) and just keep rolling in one direction until the explosions stops. Take the fight slow and play it safe if you're having trouble, just make sure he can't arrow you by LOS or watching him and dodge - make sure to have bandaid on quickbar and focus on adds (while listening for that noise for the explosions) and once u feel safe then DPS Shroud.

First time I'm hearing someone having a problem at root mother, but I don't remember the duo archer shroud spawning same time as the elite gorefist for me. I faintly remember gorefist beating the ♥♥♥♥ out of rootmother while something shooting me in the back back she was able to tank it til timer ran out.

Dont cheat, if you want a real easy mode just watch someone else play on youtube because that is the equivalent of what you are asking.
