Increasing Encumbrance limit?

Like the title says, I'm wondering if there's any way to raise the amount of weight you can wear before becoming encumbered, as by default even the lightest set of starter armour pushes you into medium encumbrance if you wear the whole thing. In my experience the extra durability from the armour doesn't come close to making up for the worse dodge.
I know there's an amulet that increases your encumbrance limit, but is that literally the only way to increase it?

Currently, yes, but this is a live game that they intend to support for a while, so long as people continue to play, so hopefully more options will become available in the future or they tweak various aspects of the systems, including encumbrance. At the moment though, like Nope said, it's just the Leto amulet.

Huh. So basically to be able to wear any heavier armour without hurting your dodge, you have to reroll Earth until the RNG coughs up a specific piece of gear.
I swear, this game is such a wierd mix of solid, fun gameplay undercut by frankly baffling design decisions.

Yup, and it's the rarest item in the game.

Besides the Leto amulet, there IS another amulet to cut into your Encumbrance. The Twisted Idol, acquired by killing the Wailing Tree (pretty much right outside the Founder's Hideout on Earth,) increases your Armor Effectiveness by +30% and reduces your Encumbrance by a flat -15.

Not all starter armours, or armours found otherwise, put you into medium weight category or worse. Those that do, have benefits to make up for it. Especially after the latest patch.

If u wear both band of castor and band of pollux u also get less weight. Letos amulet reduces it too. As well as twisted idol since latest update. Rusted amulet increases your weight however. And there's st least one or more way to increase weight in subject 2923 update and/or dlc.
