- Bandit armor (35% refund a bullet).
- Beam rifle with wildfire mod.
- Spitfire (only used in banished world).
- Storm amulet (20% element damage).
- Devouring loop (5% chances on crit to do 300%dmg).
- Hunter's band (25% more weakspot damage if 15m from target).
(I assume to all character traits are maxed out).
With this set, I recommend to have at least 1 ammo box.
The thing here is to use the accuracy and long range of the beam rifle (20m) to get the hunetr's band working. Crack open nightmare chest with two or three wildfire uses and let the beam rifle melt down its weakspot.
Alternatively Cultist set with particle accelerator and max spirit trait so you can consistently charge the mod power and use it to CC mobs. A fully leveled black hole can crit for 4k+ and wipe mobs. Not a great weapon for enemies with no weakspots though.
this build does so SO little damage at most you are doing 7.50% more damage for 2 seconds, one peace of ANY set that gives flat bonuses (hunters, scrappers, slayers) and your doing way more damage alot more often and right off from the bat, if you want damage go hunters (because 25% damage if something is 15 meters away is great) or stalkers (because 35% damage after reload with dummy thicc crossbows and sniper rifles is dumb amounts of damage) also factoring in weak point / crit damage that comes from using the weapons that work well with it, also because these weapons do SO MUCH damage in one hit your mods charge up stupid fast
if you do the math the stalker set lets you do more damage in one shot that you can expending all the ammo in most your guns and faster as well! the radiant set is only good if you can get 100% crit chance by leveling super hard, not sure the amount needed to get the 100% chance but it will be too high and even THEN the stalker will deal more damage because its only 25% extra crit damage at 10 stacks when stalkers gives you 35% to everything
If it's unintended, it's been unintended since the beginning of the game. If they're removing it, then people will move on to the next best thing until everything is just "fine". Which is just fine, I guess. Good thing I'm transitioning to melee :)
Same until that gets the nerf hammer. I literally face tanked Undying King yesterday, while ignoring all of his adds...
-Curse of the Jungle God (Easy trash/elite kills and added DPS for some bosses. Great and lazy way to farm EXP and Scraps on maps).
-Crossbow: Swarm (Very high damage output for elites and especially bosses).
-Storm Amulet (Increases elemental damage of both Tentacles and Swarm).
-Devouring Loop
-Hunter's Band
If I want to go Bob Ross crazy - I'll switch to Radiant Armor and watch Swarm just melt everything.
Its a summoner build, which has some of the highest sustained DPS number...it is never meant for just gun only damage. Which key is generate enough mod power (especially with max trait rank of mine, AR is totally a different beast as well) to get all your summon out (if even needed) while maintaining enough firepower of your own to kill random stuff (which despite not a max build for gun only damage, it is more than enough to kill fast in NM (unless your aim suck that much).
Armor is free to mess around with, there really isnt much wrong one can do. Summoner built is just meant to trade max possible dmg of gun for the freedom to not having to worry about the max dmg every single hit you can do in the perfect condition. Whatever is up there is more than enough to generate enough mod power to get it up, running at max power and sustain it without any pressure.
I also just did a NM speed run from start to end without any issue at around 2+ hours (I just wanted to rush to act 4 for an item (from ravager)...last weapon I needed, could be way faster if I dont waste time with some of the optional dungeon) with the build, it work way better if you try it instead of trying to squeeze all the damage from a single bullet. (It get better as you switch around summon or know how to control their AI a little).
Summoner build also getting a buff based on the chat with tragic too, so I expect the build to change a little when the buff is out, with even more freedom on the selection (I picked AR for the insane mod power generation as well as one of the best sustained dps weapon in all situation)
Also I dont understand that "level super hard" part as well, I pretty much gotten all the DPS trait within 2 days of playing, it really doesn't take that much time unless you only play normal and get yourself stuck on random boss for a long time.
Drop ruin for an assault rifle with swarm. Swarm also gets crit bonuses from all buffs and keeps your radiant set buff up to max all the time.
Vengeance Idol (+50% damage when under 25% hp)
Braided Thorns, Jewel of Black Sun / Gravity Stone / Stone of Balance
Beam Rifle (I don't have the AR so I can't test) with anything you like
SMG / Spitfire (I like Spitfire but then equip hunters mark on Beam Rifle)
Any Melee weapon because I don't use them that often
Radiant Set
This basically gives you a 70% damage buff and a 62.5% critical hit chance WITHOUT Traits
With traits it becomes a 95% damage buff (minds Eye) and an 82.5% crit chance (Executioner) and an extra 50% crit damage (kingslayer)
not counting weakspots since the enraging bosses don't have them
So with the Beam Rifle +20 base damage of 48 we get
93.6 Damage per shot with an 82.5% chance to deal 234 damage instead
With 5 rounds per second we have 1170 damage per second for 6 seconds
So in one mag you can deal more than 6000 damage
Blackrose necklace
labyrinth helm
cultist chest
labyrinth legs
devouring loop
Ring of supremacy
plasma accelerator
sidearm with hunters mark
as long as you are good at dodging and staying full hp, it does alot of damage, only issue is you are squishy.. but with the vortex i have been able to crit with the devouring loop bonus for 20k+ damage. whats the highest you have hit for? NOT COUNTING LAST BOSS!
so thers no use for 10% firerate when the armor set is built around fast consecutive crits?
or typewriter/assault rifle, hot shot/song of swords, DD charm, stone of balance, that same 60% base dmg reload ring. melt everything
