Map UI is terrible
I am really enjoying game, but map UI makes me really sad:
  1. Map is not interactive. It's not possible to quickly check where is what exactly by selecting icon on map with mouse.
  2. All icons looks same. In coop game it require me several seconds to figure out which icon is me and which direction am I currently looking.
  3. Multi-layered maps (e.g. Rhom dungeons with robots) are real nightmare to navigate. For some reasons map shows only explored areas of same layer, which is totally useless to find unexplored areas of other layers.
  4. Explored area are per player, while anyone who joins should be able to see where host already been.
  5. Zoom would be nice too. Certain levels are big and map icons will get scaled to become really very small. Removing that scaling is also a solution.
  6. Ability to navigate other visited levels would be awesome. Some levels are maze, to make sure everything is cleared we have to teleport everywhere and check for unexplored areas, but teleporting is very slow and tedious in coop.

To solve point (3) I'd suggest to either add up/down buttons into map window to be able change layers temporarily, re-opening map window should reset layer to where player currently is. Or to show all layers at once with opacity (to make layer where player is is more visible) and perhaps color (similar to heat maps, using gradient?).

There is a chance developer may check this forum. I am hoping for it. I find this game really great and worth all feedback I can provide.

Agreed, the map ATM is pretty messy, it provides very limited information and it really needs some interaction to see important indicators, starting with the name of the map, name of the dungeons and other areas, and maybe tell us if we finished the dungeon or not, so we wouldn't walk all the way to an instance and see that it was actually finished.

well you see if you entered a dungeon already (but not if you finished it), the icon on the map is a bit different after you entered a dungeon
