German translation is the worst in the history of video games

Hey Devs,
love your game and I personally play it in English. But some friends of mine play it in German and I have to say this game has the absolute WORST translations in the history of all video games.
Even some item descriptions in German state the exact opposite of what the original English text says. Absolutely unacceptable my dudes.

Even though I'm not German myself, nor particularly good at the language in the first place, I usually like to play games with German translations since I find the language itself to be pretty cool.

And I have to say, even if the translations aren't that great for item descriptions and the like, the voice acting is phenomenal. Especially German McCabe.

I'm guessing that, when it comes to game publication and such, making sure everything is translated correctly in every language in the game is not going to be that high on the priority list, unfortunately.

As long as the English version is understandable, I guess it doesn't really matter if the rest aren't. Is it a shame? Yes. Absolutely unacceptable? I don't think so personally.

If the translation says the COMPLETE OPPOSITE of the original text, then IT IS absolutely unacceptable.

When an item says "incoming damaged INcreased by 300%" and you translate it as "incoming damage DEcreased by 300%", than that is a translation fault that simply can not happen. Except if you don't give a sh*t about your game at all.

This. I used this ring for 2hours and something felt really wrong. Had to look it up in the wiki to discover that there was a severe translation error. :D

Yeah, one of my party members who plays in German went crazy about what a great ring he just bought. Was pretty disillusioned after I told her the actual English text.

They translate "root mother" with "seed mother".
Come on - a root and a seed are two very different things!
(And they translated EVERYTHING in that manner. In the German game nothing has anything to do with the original English words.)

Yes, I can read and type English just fine. Others can't. Others have to rely on the German translation.
So the problem here is that you seem to be completely ignorant and lacking intelligence to realise that there are more people out there than just you and me.

Vero, ho trovato alcune errori di traduzione davvero elementari. Ad esempio la traduzione di "leggero" in "luce" è un errore abbastanza sciocco. Quell'errore lo trovi quando guardi il peso dell'armatura. Ce ne sono altri sparsi in giro di errori. Senza contare che, come hai ben detto tu, alcune cose non sono tradotte e lo diventano solo dopo l'update successivo.

Even if he said that for those reasons (but I don't' think so) It doesn't mean it is not a problem.
