Blind thief weapon?

I fought him with a group, but at the end we didn't get the weapon. Does it have to be done in a certain amount of time? He definitely died. We got a ring afterwards.

If I remember exactly, The blink thief only appears twice during the mini dungeon. If you can't kill him in those 2 times. He will escape and the task board on the side will say "failure mission". If you succeed, u gain the new gun bowl

It's 5 (3?) areas to kill him, and if you die during any point during the fight he will run away. He may show up after you respawn, but lets say you were on area 3 (2?) and you died, you would have to be able to kill him in 2 (1?) area(s) after you respawned. At least, this is how it was in my game. I failed to kill him the first time and died during my fight encounter, and halfway through trying again he disappeared permanently, might roll adventure mode to find him again quicker.

The same thing happened to me the first time i saw him. I definitely killed him, but it didn't give me the rifle. Maybe i didn't do it in time, i didn't notice the timer the first time.

I got it the next time though.

There is a timer on the screen counting down from 12 seconds each time.

Yeah, you have to kill him in 12 seconds or he skedaddles.
