Who's your favorite heroine? (Spoiler Alert)

So which heroine do you like best?
For me, Catherine is the best here's why

Catherine :
Someone left comments such as 'Just Catherine' to state their dissatisfied feeling. But If you went through the ge of Catherine you will understand why Catherine keep showing in front of Nikolai, she had an abortion for their child, and the reason why Catherine came back not just for her mother's job, but to see Nikolai again. If Nikolai had read the letters, the whole game will only led to the ending of Catherine. When a 17 year girl got pregnancy, it's even harder for her to make decision after being betrayed by Himitsu. So the crying of Catherine on the rooftop and her determined will to stay with Nikolai in front of Mrs Winter make Catherine the best heroine for me.

Ellie :
My first impression of Ellie is just another tsundere ojou-sama. After become one of Z feel's Z, her cheerful personality really let her nearly catch up Catherine. However after knowing the fact that Ellie is a dr*g addict and still keep using this dangerous stuff after making the promise made me feel sorry for her. The good ending achieved by Nikolai's company and the bad ending 2 caused by the absence of Nikolai hurts me much just like some of the endings in Everlasting Summer, especially when Nikolai confessing by her side to beg her alive.

Kagome :
When playing Kagome route, it made me feel unpleasant and insupportableness when I saw Kagome kidnaped Ellie just because her grandfather.And when Kagome try to break Nikolai's relationship with Ellie in Ellie route just for the unfair revenge makes me feel very disgusting.

Himitsu :
Just as the call at the beginning, Himitsu is truly spying on Nikolai, which makes me feel that the year when Himitsu accompany Nikolai is just fake. My impression of Himitsu become worse when I realize it is Himitsu who leak the secret to Catherine's mother when Catherine trusted her as a best friend.

All in all LMR has high-level arts, musics especially the Embers and Everlasting Reference but a low level of narrative compared with Everlasting Summer .

Just Himitsu! Yes, she certainly spied on Nikolai, but not all her life with him. I think she sincerely believed that by doing this she only wanted the best for him. And not only that, she literally became a replacement for his parents after their death, and only because of this deserves love.

What she did in other routes is a strong resentment against Nikolai, because he behaved like an ungrateful beast.

I would even say that she is a Yandere light-version

It may take a while for people to get enough playtime in to weigh in. I have only done the Himitsu route (and haven't been able to find the good ending yet) so I didn't read what was under your spoilers but from what I have seen so far I like Himitsu (that's why I picked her) and Ellie. I think Kagome is pretty interesting with her family owning their own restaurant and all. I have a strong dislike for Catherine so much so that I made a post right here on this forum just to vent about it. haha

Absolutely agree with you. I advise you to read Ellie / Kagome routes after a good Himitsu ending, because is practically no Catherine there

Yep After his parents died and Catherine flew to the US, himitsu almost become one part of Nikolai's daily life. What she did truly contains her love, but this kind love is just make me feel being controlled and restricted.

Surely, when I saw himitsu in other routes I was afraid she'd pull out a kitchen knife and run at me just like Katsura Kotonoha in the School Days . Thankfully she didn't, just ask Nikolai to accept her help and break his relationship with other girl.

True, I can't understand why Sovietgames have to make Catherine shown up in every route, it just make people who don't like Catherine hate her more. I think It's better to let Catherine say goodbye at the beginning of other girl's route. Maybe production team jus want to show how Catherine care about Nikolai, but it's hard for players who haven't play Catherine's route to understand.
Thankfully the appearance of Catherine won't break Nikolai's relationship with other girl just like Kagome in Ellie's route . Once you done Ellie's route you will understand.

Ellie. I too at first considered her just another "royal blood tsundere", but as story progressed and she gradually showed her true colors (which have nothing to do with said initial "description"), I was quickly drawn to (and eventually fell for) her. Ironically, infamous twist in her plot only strengthened my love for her (naturally I was rather pissed, but instead of yelling at her or whatever I only wanted to help her break free from this and be safe, sound and happy).

Dunno about Ellie offering drug, but her passionately sweeping away her "friends" as they were ambushing Nikolai (with her reaction afterwards showing that she did it for him) and coming to his house to play guitar with him (and patiently guiding him, since he obviously lacked practice) clearly show her feelings for Nikolai. In these moments I knew that I was no longer just drawn to her. And yeah, this no-nonsense will to help Ellie get rid of bad stuff in her life hella adds to the effect.

I don't know (I've only so far played the demo and watched playthroughs of the game, hopefully I get the chance to buy the full game in the future), but from what I've seen... It seems like the best course of action is not to act at all...

I don't know from the perspective of an actual player, but it seems to me that every girl could affect Nick really radically (More than not, in a bad way. With some instances of good). Seeing bad endings, especially for Kagome, was horrible. A punch in the gut. I didn't like looking at Nikolai starving like a battered street cat after helping her, and everything taken from him in return.

I might be wrong, though! If someone has a second opinion, do tell.

While it is the safest option, it also nets no reward. Moreso, there is no growth for Nikolai in it, no change in his life, he just continues his basic existence. And like he says many times during the game - what's the point of life if there is no love in it?

Naturally every girl affects Nikolai if he spends enough time with her. Question is - how does she affect him. How she reacts (both in good times and bad ones), how his behaviour changes with her influence, etc. And in bad endings - who wrongs whom and how it unfolds. If you look at it that way, not every girl is bad news.
