Other projects... vr?
This game is out of early access and fully released, and it fantastic. So my question is will -- or is-- the dev working on a project similar or other vr projects, maybe a dlc for the game?

Hello Pyro!

Yep, as I finish off the PSVR2 port final stages I'm slowly winding up development on another VR game. It's a VR shooter with a similar art style, but not a roguelite this time; hand crafted levels. It's still a long way away, though, but I'll try and get it in a playable state ASAP.

Here's a way to win (at least my) favor; do NOT implement individual finger movement. That stuff is just annoying, and when you're holding the controller normally it just makes you look like you're missing a chromazone...

Yeah I agree it can look very weird / janky. Will try to find a smart solution.

I like the finger movements and really notice when they are not implemented. But an option to toggle them on or off wouldn't be a bad idea.

Maybe individual finger movements will be determined by controller type? If it's just a one-button grab controller it doesn't move fingers individually, but with a full-handed controller it'll move fingers.

Will compound ever be getting more content, or are you shifting away from it permanently to work on the new game?

Hi Jeeshified. I feel like it's complete and I'm very proud of it right now. If it needs maintenance updates then I will do those, of course, and I might add little extras at the same time while I'm at it, but my focus is now on future VR games. I've learnt so much from compound that I want to use to make my next game better in every way.

@BEVAN I love Compound, I wish you would add more content to it but I respect you standing your ground to not do it and focusing on your next project. I can't wait to play it.

compound will remain a solid game. it can be deemed finished or ill take some little addition it doesn't matter to me. But im glad to hear a little bit about your current project. Im sure it will be supported and backed so. take your time and just chip away. cant wait to hear more about it.

This might be random, but I feel like this game would be fantastic for modding.

I love compound I wish the grunts dodged bullets with a shimmy or head/arm dodge. Or even jump around corners instead of just walking single file around the corner. Either way the different enemies still mix it up. Totally buying your next game homie. Glad to hear about that!!!
