Hi,
Sorry to hear you've had trouble. I've come across a couple of reports of this but am unable to replicate the bug issue on my end. If it's not too much trouble, please help me find the cause so I can fix it for you.
Let's try a few things. First, please open the Steam menu while running COMPOUND, select the COMPOUND icon at the bottom, select "Controller Bindings" and set the "Active Controller Binding" to "Default". If this doesn't work, please open the menu (the green button on the back of either wrist) and select Reset All Options.
If you are still having issues, please let me know if you are using a Rift or a Rift S, and please copy and paste the entire contents of your config file here so I can see if there is a particular setting combination that is causing the issue. The config file is located at C:>Users>[username]>AppData>Local>COMPOUND>config_2.cfg
Finally, see if reverting to an older build fixes the issue. Right click on COMPOUND in your game library, select properties, betas, then change the branch to v0_5_15 and see if that works.
Thank you for your help.
EDIT: Oh, and please let me know if you are using an original Rift or Rift S. Thanks again!
I use the original Rift but it worked to Reset All Options.
I overlooked that option completely.
Sorry^^ and thanks!
Glad to hear it worked. :)
Hi,
What do you mean by Steam Controllers? Index controllers? If you can't move, you most likely have teleport mode on or you have a custom binding enabled.
Open the menu on the back of your hand (green button) and change the locomotion mode from "teleport" to "locomotion", also, please confirm you are using the default control bindings.
If you still have problems, please let me know.
EDIT: Oh, you deleted your comment. Hopefully it's fixed :)
Switching to teleport works but thats not what i want :)
Hi Schoki,
Please try the following things:
1. Open the wrist menu and "reset all settings" (should be at the top of the menu)
2. Open the SteamVR input binder and confirm you are using the default bindings
Please let me know if this solves the issue. If not I'll help you get to the bottom of it.
2) it is the default setting
OK, I'll be waiting
Glad to hear everything worked out :)
