No contract objective markers

For some reason, I can't get the contracts to display objective markers. I've tried toggling the hud options to no avail. I've googled the problem but it seems nobody has had this issue. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, no idea. In the contracts menu it says to hit ctrl to display the marker. It does nothing. I give up. Anyone know wtf is going on? Thanks for any help. :)

Toggling them with control should just make that contract objective display. I think some contracts might not have objective markers as well.

Thanks for trying to help. For some reason it just won't work, All 4 contracts in Mission 2 won't show a marker, I've now completed the Mime contract but the other 3 still won't display. I do have markers for the 2 main objectives. I'm sure I can get by without them but it's annoying the hell out of me. :)

Does sound odd. If you do need help with a contract I have a Steam guide on them all. (Shameless plug)

btw if you try to toggle markers on with arrow keys etc you might think you selected the contract but not really. Did you make sure all eyes were lit at bottom left of the contract menu for each contract?
