There is no nonlethal achievement, though, so it's not a must-have except for personal pride.

the answers above are correct. If you stored the bodies of the first two cultists you meet at Shindaery close to where you meet them, that area is destroyed in the void... hence two kills.
There are also dodgy areas to store bodies further into the mine. The post above lists all of the safe body storage areas that I found.
