Playing on a PC with no controller
Ok, So where do I find a button config for this? I am playing with a mouse and keyboard only and trying to get out of this friggin Arris factory and I can't seem to get the password. Steam has zero help in this.

I'm stuck at the same spot. I actually have a controller, but for some reason, I can't get it to work with this game (and I've used it for other games with the PC). I reformatted the controls (go into settings, and you can change which buttons you use for which function). This is allowing me to walk around using the directional arrows instead of the wasd right about the action x, which is terrible in battles. But I can't get that password done. Ugh

I figured it out. If you go to your settings, you can see how the controller pad is set up. On the controller, you need to push A, Y, and B. Each time you get a sound. After that, you need to press your enter button (x by default on the keyboard). So on the keyboard, if you haven't changed your settings, you'll have to press x, v, c.

someone should write a guide for this game to play without a controller. With all the posts ive seen with people playing this game with keyboard and mouse, this needs to made into a guide. They also should of mentioned on the store page a controller is highly recommended for this game.

It's fairly easy to change the controls, I just made it all keyboard controls as that is what made sense in my head.

Do you mind posting what you did?

I just got this game for steam on the pc and have come to the conclusion I need a controller. I played it on the SNES back in the day and the controlls were easy and intuitive but on a keyboard it just feels off. I play way too much Fallout New Vegas to break myself of the keys I want to press for movement or action and I keep trying to talk to NPC's by pressing E and nothing happens want to grab something and press A and all I do is walk to the left lol. I know I can get it squared away if I fiddle with the settings menu a bit but this game really was made for a controller based play.
I did fiddle a bit with it by going from the opening pendulum start menu page to settings and changing a couple of keys around but still feels awkward to me.

I don't know how to do this. I'm playing on an emulator, and the L and R buttons are mapped to Q and W keys. I can't change those, so I can only change the mapping of the A button, which by default is set to X, but I've tried all 4 possible options, and non of those work.
