He also complained that there "wasn't any place for his magazines" when I put in a Kall bookcase as a room divider (took out a wall so the bookcase acts as an "open wall" to the bedroom area). There was plenty of room for his magazines, books, etc.
I tried negotiating with him because the place was stunning, despite its small size, but he refused so I, like the OP, had to accept his offer. I only asked for $5k more than he was offering ($48k).
Admittedly, there are other bugs, like - outer walls vanishing, plumbing systems randomly moving around, ... I think the programmers need to pull out their vacuum and work on their game cause these bugs ruin an otherwise enjoyable game.
