Report a translation problem
Once you have it selected, you will see on your screen a large square. If the square is red, you cannot place a building there. If it is blue, you are free to do so. Once you have your initial square set, you can expand the walls.
Double-click one side to highlight the entire wall, which gives you a set of arrows to move it.
Or, hold down the left mouse button and drag it across one section of a wall to expand/contract only part of it.
Once you set your foundations, press E and the building will be erected.
As a side note, if you are looking to expand an existing building, you can place a new square up against the wall you wish to expand. Once you complete your wall selection, the old building will open up to incorporate the new space.
That is true for buildings you have built yourself. Pre-made buildings will still have the exterior wall which you will have to use a door or archway to create an access way between the old and new
