First timer on presenting my garden contest. Tips?
Hi. I have the Garden DLC. I renovated several houses and sold them well in auctions, making a coin for myself and everything. Now, when you press Enter in your property you get the options to either sell the property or to put it in some garden contest.

I know absolutely nothing about the garden contest. Not a clue. I don't know if there is a prize or multiple prizes, I don't know the objectives or standards of the contest... all I know is that there is a contest and I can enter in it.

What should I do with my garden in order to win? It's a really big ground with a small building so I presume that almost anything is possible, but I have to be sure in terms of strategy and winning the contest. What should I do?

Search the guides, there's a list of things every category needs to get a plus of 50 %.

It's a bit over the top on requirements but is a good help when you are first trying the competitions, trial and error will help refine your requirements. For example the Modern garden just requires symmetry with paving slabs and gravel, no need to eliminate all the grass, 6 chairs, 4 tables, 4 fountains, some cheap conifers and 2 to 4 of each tall deco grass with about 6 to 8 of each of the three 0.3 mtr plants should do it.

There are lots of guides out there for gardens, both in the forums here and online. The problem that I have with them, myself, is that the guides do not help me because they are WAY too vague. If you are the type of person that needs something more specific than "place stones, statues, and conifers and group them by type" for example, you might have some trouble following the guides. However, you can definitely give it a try until you find one that works for you.
